Yes. so it's now after 12:00. I guess there is no formal presser. Just some kind of open house? I'm not sure.

^ ^ I'll be ecstatic if all we get is the height/tower question out and answered or some idea on the Sutton Place portion of the project, either one for that matter..

Nothing much new... Didn't get a chance to talk with the lady running the event. Sounds like its apartments for residential, from over hearing a bit of her conversation. Leasing will begin 6-12 months prior to opening, which is in 2018. Again, I overheard that. Didn't get anything on new interest or height increases. There was mostly information posted about the plaza space. All the other renders and boards were the same old stuff that we have seen. Buildings looked the same to me. Maybe if someone else has stopped by and got a chance to talk with the lady, they could have more info.

You must have been standing behind me lol. Yes, apartment rentals (not condos) for Tower 2 with more details coming out in the next 6 months.

Thanks for the photos either way. The images of the initial renders are crisper. Well it does solve the pre-sale question, apartments will allow them keep surging on as usual...hmm

So judging by that timeline, did they confirm that they are building both Towers 1 and 2 at the same time (as opposed to just the foundation for Tower 2)?

They actually specifically said in advance the open house was strictly for the plaza, they wanted to hear what the public wants to see there.

The scope is set. Tower 1 will start first at 17 storeys. The second tower will be apartments (as said above) and 4 or 5 floors of offices. Tower 2 will be 28 storeys (27 floors + 1 floor of amenity space). Tower 2 will be smaller in size, floor plate wise so it should likely catch up in construction once it is out of the hole.

Regarding the construction site...the pit on the Carlton side is now down to final depth (2 floors of parking). Below the horizontal steel braces the mini excavators are working on the elevator pits and core. The rest of the site up to about a diagonal line starting closest to the MTS Centre still needs to be excavated down to the pit height along Carlton. So far they have had no issues with water. They still need to install approximately 30 caissons but after that it should start rising quickly.

They are also engaging with a video board specialist to determine what type of displays will be fronting the public plaza. the Renders do not depict the final product yet of the displays.

Thx for the SE site update, elevator cores.

Can you just clarify the heights/floor count for me, as I have them listed in the tread title.
I have them listed in a tallest to shortest fashion from the past updates, this includes the 2 Sutton Towers.

So tower 1 and 2 locked in at 17 and 28 floors respectively. Sutton place yet to be verified are still at 27 and 17 ?

^ So no expansion of the project then, by the sounds of it? Or at least not to the eastern portion of it?

I was hoping there would have been some more details on the Sutton Place part of the project.

Sutton Place is a different project now and not part of this scope. The configuration and heights/storeys are not yet determined at all for it. Hopefully in the new year we will learn more.

The Carlton/Hargrave 2 tower-plaza site is set now.

OK, so this phase we are set at 28 and 17, a 4 floor increase from 24?

Lets call Sutton yet to be determined but were initially annouced at 27 and 17..yes?

Doesn't really matter as they are just figuring that out now. Anything previous was just throwing out a random render and heights.

I wonder what will come of the skywalk connection. Looks like the first phase will connect through Shark Club still, somehow. But the loop southwards to the convention centre is contingent on the Sutton Place thing going ahead. So may never happen, as we all now to well in these parts.
