I was out there lastnight and took some pictures and a video of the fin. They have several smaller LEDs that were creating a callidascope of colors. I had thought that someone mentioned way back that the curved edge was gonna be lit yet haven't seen any testing on that.

Yeah you can see in the first picture the back half of the fin looks off. It was dimly flickering through rainbow colors, I couldn't tell if it was by design or something was malfunctioning

It's by design. My bestie and I first spotted it from East 6th east of 35, noticed a bunch of flickering LEDs which then prompted us to head down to the Long Center then to Zilker. Right now it seems like they are all over the place with the lighting, however I'm sure they are doing segment tests for what is shaping out to be a very extensive lighting system. My thinking is they will be able to do different effects. It also may be that like the building itself, which looks different from different angles, they want to have a different lighting effect depending on which direction your viewing it. At first I didn't understand the point of the west facing strip of bright lights below the fin which made it much more difficult to spot the rainbow changing lights on the fin. You also can't really see them easily from the south either, but then it dawned on me that we saw the LEDs clearly from E. 6th. I have a hunch that those will be visible coming south on the upper decks of I35.

They were testing the lighting again this morning. All of the office terraces on the lakefront side of the building were lit along with the diagonal line running up from the corner of Cesar Chavez/Nueces. The crown was fully on and the "fin" was cycling through the rainbow.

Yea I was walking the boardwalk last night and got some good video of it. Finally Austin's night lighting is moving up a notch. Been wanting to see something like this for years.

The google logo reflecting off this building is kind of funny since it’s also a google building.

Couldn't get a video, but tonight they were testing lighting animations on the stair-step pattern and the LED strip on the south-eastern corner

A friend of mine posted the Sail building yesterday and I'm pretty sure it's the first time these lights were turned on?

I'm more excited about this than I probably should be, but they're *finally* putting in the missing windows. Just one left to go now until the sail is complete.

Nice - that's been bugging me for a while also.
