It's like they're teasing us about the crown. I'm waiting with bated breath as to whether they will achieve some of the initial render's crown's glory. When, already..?

Now that the flloors are being prepared for occupancy, the facade looks lighter, especially under that sun exposure.

^ More than any modern high-rise in the city, the appearance of 300 will be affected by its tenants' buildouts. Hopefully this will be interesting and not become an unsightly hodgepodge.

Does anyone know whether any tenants other than K&E are currently constructing their interiors?

^ Looks like a hybrid of an SOM project from 1960 and MidContinental Plaza (now Park Michigan - RIP).

^^^ I was just thinking that it looked like MidContinental before you said that. I'm with you, this one disappoints. It's not a disaster but it just didn't come out like I hoped.

^ Very interesting. Welcome to the forum by the way.

The curious thing is, I love both MCP and the SOM projects from that era, so that wasn't meant to be a critique, by the way.

At least its vertical and not oppressive, which is MUCH more than I can say for (a disaster like) MCP.

This building really doesn't have the sort of breathless verticality that was present in the renders. But I'm reserving final judgment until the fins are installed.

I don't think fins could salvage that at this point.

^ Maybe they could drape very thin and shiny "now leasing" signs down the facade?
