Indeed. The recently posted winter shots were great and all but, its nice to see leaves and green grass after a cold, grey March.

Cool shot of Burnaby. Surprisingly unusual shot posted here as well given its content. (i.e. lowrise nighbourhoods)

Of course. Edmonton doesn't have anything near a 490 foot table top skyline. The impact of the airport on building heights over its lifetime of operation is exaggerated. Heights have increased since its closure. They have all across Canada.

Those are quintessential "Vancouver Special" neighbourhoods that proliferated East Vancouver and a large part of Burnaby starting in the 1960s and ending in the early 80s. They are large, bulky houses that generally take up most of the lot they sit on.

Mostly hated by everyone in the past, they've now become sought after as they have large floor plates can be easily renovated and updated.

From bottom to top, CBD, ByWard Market, Lowertown/Sandy Hill and the old east end.

Found this one on the paper edition of the Ottawa Citizen first. Centretown/CBD left (west) of the Rideau Canal, uOttawa right (east) of the Canal. More or less 5 years ago.

That's promising. Google maps aerials for Canada are terribly outdated.

The aerial images are updated a couple of times a year but you can only see the most recent images in the history tab. The default image is never the most updated image.
As for the 3D layer they update them every 4 to 5 years which is acceptable to me.
However Canadian cities are going through a period of rapid change compared to other western cities so they feel more outdated sooner.

Here's Little Italy in Ottawa, a hotbed for new tower construction. There is a proposal for a 60 story building between the 45 story building and the under construction 30 story tower in the back middle. There are at least 10 other towers in various stages of planning that could end up in this shot in a few years.

I'm always amazed at the large bridges in Halifax especially for a smaller city. Very impressive.

One of the best Halifax shots posted here in a while. The city looks much heftier than where I currently live (London, Ontario), despite being 25% smaller.

It would be interesting to see the differences over time.
