This is also the angle that makes NEMA look the most Sears-like.

Indeed this is one of the less flattering views of Chicago, although NEMA is helping a fair amount.

Chicago's skyline looks much more impressive from the east and north, as spyguy's other photos have shown.

So many of these buildings didn't exist just five years ago.

So far the South Loop is the victor of this cycle if we add up some arbitrary number of points between design, height, number, and skyline impact. Probably will win the next two cycles as well, given how many lots it has and how much more attractive it has grown over the last 20 years to those moving into the city

This is definitely her best angle. When seen from the McCormick Lakeside Center, it is side by side with Sears, almost exactly the same size if flattened against a 2D plane.

It just goes to remind us how absolutely MASSIVE Sears is when a building like NEMA, which grabs headlines for its contextual height, is diminutive when seen in the greater skyline.

At least The Cube is immortalized on the cover of RTA's most recent downtown transit map.

Not the best pics, but on my lunch hour today I noticed how the Columbus/Fairbanks hole in LSE frames NEMA from Streeterville

I'm a huge fan of surprising vistas and vantage points, and this is one of them. Great eye, CP.

Wow, if it turns out as pictured , it will be very impressive. The South Loop has really been transformed these last years, with NEMA being the highlight so far.

Until we get the 78, this view will have to suffice though:

If any of you have connections with CTA, please tell them to give the cars a dang bath! Pictures turned out dirty the other day Had to just delete most
