Interesting skies to the West due to the wildfires lately. Beautiful shot.

The pointy red building on the right, does that contain a pass-thru so I can walk from the Albert Island courtyard to Chaudiere Private bridge? Or is this going to be a 'private' courtyard?

Which is the old and which is the new design? I feel like I've seen 3-4 revised renders that all look very similar.

Love that render of what it would look like with all buildings completed. I really hope they do that white stacked tower design, looks great and so different for Ottawa. My only complaint, once again, is that it looks like all 4-5 towers are basically the same height. Can't we get some variation?!

One tall signature tower would do wonders for the island for sure, it would really draw the eye and make the development stand out.

Are there similar PDFs for the Quebec side somewhere?

Weird that they plopped this rendering into an early rendering of the completed site, with none of the completed projects in sight.

No clue a this point, but I certainly hope so. I have faith they will figure that out.

Sort of. Here's the website, but it's pretty terrible. You have to look at it month per month instead of by address or a map.

According to DevApp Block 204's application has been Approved. If they do in fact get shovels in the ground this year I'll be very impressed at how fast they're building Zibi on the Ontario side

So if I'm not mistaken this is only the 2nd residential project on the islands, right? The midrise to the side was condos I believe and this tower will be rentals?

Surprised they have just as much if not more office space on the islands than residential at this point.

Only spot where one is planned at this time is in, what was supposed to be, an office tower on Laurier in Hull.

Good thing is, a grocery store is planned at W/E 2 on Eddy, which isn't too far.

Pre-pandemic, the plan was to build more office space than residential (at least, in terms of employee/residents ratio). At the time, the region had an office space shortage. Expect a lot of the planed office space to be built as condos/apartments now.

Geeze, you'd think they were trying to build a community or something.

Interesting that this one is getting clad with very light beige brick, I don't think we had that in any renders.

According to their 2022 map, we are supposed to be in Phase 3 on Quebec side already. Nothing from Phase 2 has been started yet though.

I was thinking the same. Looking at that timeline, it seems they are a bit behind in Ontario (they haven't started anything in Phase 2 yet and won't be finished phase 1 next year).

But on the Quebec side, they have maybe 4 buildings in phase 1 completed or started (still many to go) and nothing in phase 2 or 3 started yet.

No doubt the pandemic, labour shortage and high interest rates slowed down the project. Still going up at a relatively quick pace for local standards, and with high quality designs and builds (at least, on the Ontario side).
