Great, so they are building the smaller Brookfield tower ontop of the existing tower. That's fantastic!

Go back to page 93, look at the image there. Also look at the construction blueprints. The crown finishes the outside line of the building carrying up beyond those mechanical floors where it currently juts in. The building may have no more floors to go up, but the crown goes above the mechanical roof.

I'm not saying it's taller than the 246m planned, I'm just saying its not at full height yet.

And there's a lot of steel rising above the mechanical penthouse's roof now.

Yup, this building has (the crown) 11 meters to go!

Oh snap, the curved top pieces! Is that the 246m to the top of the glass that wraps those?

Very interesting scene up top. Even the steel frame erection of the mechanical floors are quite peculiar as the columns seem to be slanted extending towards the rooftop where those steel loop frames then take place.
I believe we are now seeing the final height of this tower. If you get really nitpicky, then include the thickness of the CURVED curtainwall panels that will be attached to include the 6-8" of extra height. This to my guess looks like the curtainwall installation will be identical to how the podium glazing had been done with its curved top pieces. Awesome stuff!

Wow! I had no idea the top would be curved like that! Interesting feature and definitely sets it apart from most towers that extend the curtain wall in fins above the roof. I wonder if 707 5th will be the same.

Indeed. I thought it might curve over the top but now I realize that looking up from the ground you'll see through the glass at the top to the sky and that will make an interesting effect instead of standard solid spandrel pieces. It might almost look like the building is frayed at the top.
