Is this the official map the City of Burnaby planning uses to indicate existing sites?
... with the "future" roads through Metropolis at Metrotown?

My first apartment was in 6556 Marlborough. I really liked living there.

Isn't the dealership directly to the south of the plaza? If so i think it would be stupid to put a huge tower there it would shadow the whole plaza.... I wonder if that will come into consideration when they do sell.

It could overshadow the plaza, but the developer that buys it won't care about Shape's (owner of Brentwood) interest. The land will command a premium, and the developer will use it as they see fit to get their money back.

Now, Carter's is officially encircled by development. How long will it last? It, along with Revs, are basically the last big lots in the area.

Brentwood Station Blog is also reporting that 4430 Halifax is being redeveloped by Embassy Bosa.
Don't know if the site would extend to Willingdon or the adjacent parcel.

Burnaby Urban Village - Bainbridge Community Plan (Sperling skytrain)

Anyone know what's happening with the area near the Sperling skytrain? Dairyland, Telus and the Greenwood St warehouse section? Bainbridge Burnaby Rezoning 2018 by Steve Van, on Flickr

It would seem like a missed opportunity not to assemble the 3 lots? Or 2 at least?

If its a single lot development, I would love to see something very thin and tall.

I don't think it would be a missed opportunity at all. this area could definitely see more smaller (not nescesarily shorter) projects. It adds variety to the street versus having whole blocks developed at once

Ideally the buildings should be built with blank walls facing the adjoining lot so that the next building be built right up against it. Eneough tower in the park point towers everywhere

Both Telus and Dairyland are under contract with developers to my knowledge.

I should clarify, I would much prefer a builder put up a tall, thin, tower on a smaller lot.

Lots of wide floor plates in Brentwood - Aviara, Mall towers, Triomphe, etc.

Something of Trumps floor plate size would be magic.

Also - agree on the adjoining lot point. Would be nice to focus on more urban in this area. Keep Dawson to the park setting idea.

The Burnaby School District admin office will be moving the Schou site, renovating and adding a new wing.
They will sell the existing site on Kincaid (probably SFH...)
