Here are a couple of downtown shots. It is strange not to see a bunch of cranes.

Lots of great shots, AusTexDevelopment and Corvairkeith both!

Our skyline is really interesting -- depending on the angle it can look really very dense or still somewhat spread out.

Great shots guys. I will be having to do more walking shots around town now since I crashed my drone.

Speaking of crashed drones, I found one crashed on top of one of my vehicles in my driveway around Christmas. I have no idea where it came from. Apparently whomever owned it had no idea where it went. It was probably a Christmas present being flown by a drone newbie.

Ha. It wasn't really damaged, and I checked the memory card to see if I could figure out where it came from. It had around 300 blurry photos that gave no viable clues. Your photos are awesome, so I know it wasn't you.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the heights of the buildings. Especially the Austonian and the Independent, which almost look as short as other shorter buildings in the foreground at some angles, and at others they are very prominent.

Great photos up there. Yeah, I've had to point out the tallest one more than a few times to my mom who still says the Austonian looks short compared to some others from certain angles.

I can't remember if this one was ever posted or not, but I love the flyover down Congress. This video also caught them putting up the crane for Block 71.

Great pics. 70 Rainey in pic 1 looks like a thinner Dobie Tower from that angle. Pic 2, always my favorite angle because its deceptive regarding the downtown true shape and density, is finally highlighting how nice 5th and West looks, especially all lit up as is the Independent which is dreadfully dark from the roof on up with its dead crown. It doesn't even reflect the sunset. Also, there at a shit ton of red beacon lights downtown, not a good or bad thing, just an observation. Oh, one more observation, there is only one visable crane in all 3 pics. WTH?

See now, that's why I got no hate for the Fairmont. It looks great there. It's also reflecting 70 Rainey, which itself is reflecting the sun in the Fairmont's reflection of it. That's pretty neat. I also think the Independent looks great in these.

By the way, they replied to me today saying that the crown will be lit. I know someone already said that on the forum, but I had already asked around that time, and they just replied today.

Aspen West Campus also looks good there. That facade really stands out sometimes.

I think it's time for someone to apply for historic landmark status of the "Ninja Style Kung Fu Grip" graffiti on the railroad bridge.

I'd say at least late 2013. It predates the Northshore and all the other buildings in the Greenwater development.

Are they lyrics from a Sublime song? Seems so familiar, but google isn't helping me here.
