Tre Ford leads the list of winners for the Edmonton Elks 2023 Team Awards.

The star quarterback was named Most Outstanding Player, becoming the first Canadian to receive that honour since Blake Marshall in 1991. Ford also earned unanimous selection as Most Outstanding Canadian.

Other award winners include:

Martez Ivey (Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman)
Jake Ceresna (Most Outstanding Defensive Player)
Scott Hutter (Most Outstanding Special Teams Player)
Kai Gray (Most Outstanding Rookie).

For the first time I was treated to the ICE District parkade. It's actually quite a good deal at $23.

Northlands outdoor parking with a 2km walk to the Coliseum was $16 last time I recall which would be $28.78 in todays dollars.

The old set up at Northlands was the biggest gouge compared to the options with Rogers Place.
Manulife, heated UG, connected to the arena with maybe a 10min walk completely indoors if you want, is $10. Almost zero traffic upon exit during non-playoff games.

Yup, the parking situation around Northlands was a gongshow and traffic was gross as you really only had Wayne Gretzky Drive or 118th Ave as options.

Rogers Place is lighyears better in all respects in terms of parking, transportation and general access.

The club partnered with four local designers: Lance Cardinal (Indigenous Celebration), Pete Nguyen (Lunar New Year), AJA Louden (Celebrating Black History) and Sunny Nerval (South Asian Celebration) to develop unique Oilers logos that represent the history and culture of these four Oil Country communities.

Maybe someone from OEG reads these threads but Long Island has been awarded the 2026 All Star Game.

Where is the All Star Game AEG and the NHL promised?

Crickets.

I think I read it's between Edmonton and Detroit for the 2027 ASG. I could be wrong.
