Sorry but what are the improvements? I just see a cheap fold up temporary metal bleacher and a chain link fence. Is the improvement a porto-potty behind the fold up bleacher?

uh how is that a temporary fold up bleacher? you can clearly see the concrete foundation and steel beams supporting the bleachers, not to mention the roof attached and acnhored down by said "temporary fold up bleacher." looks pretty permanent for a class A ball stadium

I did read the articles, all the renovations are is some new beers on tap rocking chairs, temporary metal stands and that's about it. Should we start posting pictures of renovations to our houses and bbq's too? This was a pointless post this ballpark renovation is no renovation at all.

The heck is your problem?

The renovation is the addition of 900 seats and a new PERMANENT section. Foundations and all. Where does it say anything about temporary.

Thank you for the OP posting a photo of an EXPANDED STADIUM, not someones bbq. It's exactly the kind of post I expect in the STADIUM AND ARENAS thread.

Who said this thread is ONLY for stadiums under renovations or construction? Its about stadiums in Canada, both finished and under construction. Nat Bailey stadium is a stadium in Canada and that post was worthy of this thread even if there was no renovation at all.

As a Canadian from Hamilton I appreciate posts of minor league stadiums in Western Canada as this is the only place I'd see them.

Well me personally being from hamilton, i am going to the canada brazil opener mens soccer game. Im also going to be following basketball because we're going to be sending a team with multiple nba players and it will be prep for olympic qualifying in september.

Im also going to be following the mens 100 4x100 metre and 200 metre as we have a young stud from canada. Andre De Grasse from usc via the GTA broke the ncaa 200 metre record and ran the 2nd fastest 100 metre time this year as well as running the fastest cdn time since bruny surin 15 years ago. He also ran a wind aided 100 metre time of 9.75 faster than ben johnson to win the ncaa championships. That was the fastest time ever by a cdn and 7th fastest all time. Kid is a stud and cant wait to see him at the olympics.

Here is a post From an HF boards member on the MTS Centre. Another poster said he seen the New scoreboard as well and he said their is a nice surprise in the middle of it or something???
MTSC UPDATE
++++++Back at MTS Center recently....all the concrete is up for the loge seating, and access stairs down to it is being installed. The suites are still chugging along. A fair chunk of them are completed. Work has started on the Moose dressing room. It's under the grandstands opposite the Jets. I imagine the Moose will enter through the corner that the visiting NHL teams do now. They are taking over the green room and one of the Star dressing rooms, as well as some storage space. I believe the old press conference room is part of this reno. I mention this because this was the room they used to announce the purchase of the Thrashers. So it's a little sad to see it go, even if they haven't used it for that purpose since. They built a new room just steps from the Jets change room prior to year one. The new Moose room looks to be a decent size, so my guess is they are here more than a year or two. It would be TOO nice for the visiting teams, y'know? The visiting teams should get Selkirk Barn quality change rooms++++++

I visited BC Place yesterday to see Japan playing against Netherlands in the Women's World Cup. It was my first time to BC Place and I only had my cell phone with me. I really liked how the stadium looks like, but 28,717 spectators was not enough to generate massive amount of noise. It was a nice and rather inexpensive experience nontheless.

The roof was of course open as it was beautiful weather.

The Japanese fans were happy to win 2-1.

Once again, it shows how intimate BC Place is for a 55,000 seat stadium... in similar ways to the 64,000 seat Arizona Cardinals stadium.

A really nice renovation, though I know not all would necessarily agree.
