Yes, it NEEDS to.

The tower IS what it is, and no fantacies should be added to it. Only what the officials want or think it should have.

When the dust clears for Ground Zero and all is said and done, there will be people lining up to visit the tower left and right!

Looks like they poured more concrete the the basement floor on the far end of the picture. Not sure why but it was pretty clear from the webcam earlier.

Go back and read some of the previous pages and you'll find the answer.

That makes it much harder to view Ground Zero from that vantage point!

There is going to be a lot more activity and congestion now that construction has really gotten underway. The movement of West Street was done so the Port Authority could have a buffer zone due to safety concerns - also I believe more cranes and heavy equipment will soon be onsite?

It's REALLY happening - YAY!

Think things got going this year? Wait'll next year!

The four major towers - ALL of them should be booming by then! The Deutsche Bank Building should also be removed by then and that spot should start being cleared for Tower 5.

Yeah, there were supposed to be two more large cranes coming to help build the Freedom Tower.

The PA doesn't want anything falling on someone such as a pedestrian, now that you mentioned it. Lord knows Ground Zero has had more than its share of tragedies!!

Um... no? You couldn't see anything from Ground Zero there anyway, and it doesn't have effect for the view from Winter Garden.

Sort of like the one over at the GS Tower?

I just started to realise that what people can't see in that spot can be viewed on the LMDC cam.

Trip to the Construction Site

Hello everyone, I was at The site today and there is a lot , I mean A LOT of activity there. As far as a vantage point to watch, there really isn't one that I found. To many things and fences in the way. Believe me when I say this, It's a lot better to watch the development on this web site or from the web cam. This was the first time I visited there since the tragic day and I was very moved. I hope to go there again in the spring of next year.
Keep those pictures coming guys they are the best.

Thanks,
Lance

In just a few short months, we'll have measurable height...
