I thought the existing east bound onramp to the TCH off Harrisville Blvd was to be replaced with a new onramp that would be located inside the new development.
The photo in your post seems to suggest as much.
Yet today, rather than removing the existing onramp, crews were paving it.
I must obviously be mistaken. Can anyone enlighten me?

Look more closely at the image.

The existing on ramp will remain in it's current location, but instead of coming directly off Harrisville, it will instead come off the access road into the new business park.

At 223,000 sq. feet, and servicing 43 Wal Mart stores in Atlantic Canada, this operation is going to create a lot of direct jobs, as well as spin off jobs in the transportation industry. Not to mention the construction jobs while it's being built. There are so many major construction projects under way or about to start in the Moncton area, where are they getting all the workers? In any event, this project is another huge shot in the arm for the Moncton area economy.

Groundbreaking was today. This is a $56M investment by Walmart in the local community.

Quote:
When Walmart announced the creation of the distribution centre in April, it stated the development would create more than 200 new jobs in the Moncton region. In an interview with Horacio Barbeito following the ceremony, the CEO said they will look to the community to fill most of these positions.

“We become a corporate citizen that wants to engage in the community and job creation.”

In addition, Atlantic Canadian businesses will have a better opportunity to put their products on the shelves of Walmart locations across the country.

“One of the key positive impacts is the local suppliers being able to deliver us our network to have their products not only being carried in our stores here in the region but also nationally,” said Barbeito.

Now that ground has been broken it’s believed that the centre will officially open in the Fall of 2022.

There’s a new sign up at the old Crystal Mountain section of the building that says “Freshest Fruits and Vegetables”.

It appears that traffic lights will be installed on Harrisville Blvd at the eastbound offramp from the TCH/entrance to the Metepenagiag First Nation business park.

Not a surprise really. If the new business park takes off, this intersection will become very congested quite quickly.

I just saw that. I guess Oulton's isn't going to be using the entire building (at least yet). Seems like an odd combination to have with a police academy.

Speaking of Police Academy, it reminds me of when the big riot in the third act was caused by a Police recruit throwing an apple over his shoulder.

Maybe Halo Donuts would have been a better fit?

In Summerside there is a PEILC store in at Holland College. Mind you it was a mall before it was Holland College so it kind of makes sense.

Its too bad that Moncton doesn't have its own policing, Oulton's could have renovated a building downtown and then did OJT with the city police. I can only imagine how good it would be to have the students on foot patrol downtown as a part of their training and it would also be an added benefit to the cities safety.

Unless this policing course has drastically changed in recent years, the graduates are far, far from being qualified to be police officers. Nobody graduates from this course and becomes a cop.

The Atlantic Police Academy in Summerside is where a lot of people go, but to be RCMP, you have to go out west to get trained at their national centre.

I was speaking to the pastor of the church here, and he said the church is working with a developer to rezone this piece of the church property and if it passes the developer would buy it. They would use this money to do an extensive renovation of the existing church building.

I still had trouble envisioning this new layout, even with your help but drove by the other day and NOW I get it, ha ha.
At first I thought this was a stupid idea which needlessly redirects onramp traffic into this business development, but now I realize it is the best way to do it if they plan to install traffic lights, which they wisely are going to do. A roundabout would have worked better here but there is no room for one here so these new traffic lights will have to do.
