Nothing new, just good lighting today for some photography.
Finished breezeway still up to the 37th floor, noticed that once a tree is potted, the breezeway is lit up.
We'll see how these deciduous trees look in a couple of months.

Yes, I was trying to catch a rainbow this afternoon, it's there, but very faint. \/

With no mist or rain (clean visibility) the breezeway lights are very noticeable.

^And here I was just thinking the breezeway trees were probably not happening after all.
Thanks for the update Zep!

Aren't lower floors supposed to be occupied already? Is the tower really this dark each evening?

I'm also questioning that.

The 2 top lit up floors, where just opened (breezeway lights turned on last week). The lower floors very quiet, you see the odd lights on but that's probably realtor not turning off the lights after showing.

The north face, no idea, maybe more are being sold on the north side.

They just got occupancy for the first phase three months ago. Not sure how quickly that translates into people moving in.

Revery integrates church into sculptural Butterfly skyscraper in Vancouver

https://www.dezeen.com/2025/03/25/bu...couver-revery/

Quote:
" .. Inspired by the ephemeral nature of clouds, the Butterfly's distinctive form establishes a bold new landmark for Vancouver, gracefully announcing the highpoint of the city's downtown peninsula and the gateway into its vibrant West End neighbourhood," said Revery Architecture.

The tower's unique sculpted façade is achieved with an innovative assembly of insulated pre-fabricated panels, high-performance glazing, and wide-spanning balconies that together provide exceptional thermal resistance, superior acoustical performance, and enhanced occupant comfort.

At the base of the tower, tall chamfered glass walls were informed by the structure of the pipe organ of the adjacent First Baptist church.

The church connects directly to the lobby through a floor-to-ceiling glass structure on the ground level called the Galleria, which holds an event space for concerts.

.. On each level of the 57-story building, open-air breezeways connect the apartments to the sheltered central elevator core. Each has a sculptural plant holder that contains a tree that will grow in time to create a green effect on the facade.

The rooftop was designed to hold skygardens with large glass walls built into the crown of the building.

The Butterfly's suites have interiors also designed by Revery Architecture and feature luxury details such as porcelain flooring."

beautiful project and addition to the neighbourhood and skyline.

Although the units seem impractical from a user perspective, the public benefits through improvements to the church, new housing and architectural value cannot be denied and I am glad it went ahead as it did.

We would never see projects such as this break ground in the current market.

They haven't announced when the church opens. I assume they'll do an open house before the opening

End of the week? I will post the ceremonial last glass (at this point, a ceremony is not necessary, they just want to get it done )

It took a little longer than 2 weeks. 7 months later the last glass installed.

Friday April 04, 2025, the last of the glass installed.

While it's probably functional that top section of glass is just weird.

I thought I heard chatter of May 4 but I can't recall if that was moving their offices and equipment in or a public service/event.

There are now 13 units listed for resale in the building since occupancy started. None have sold yet.

List prices range from $1,515-$2,562/sf.

You can buy a resale unit in this building for considerably cheaper than it pre-sold for in 2017.
