Great to see some St. John's love in this thread. I photograph the city sometimes, but my photos are mostly garbage. I don't really like posting them because they're generic and of mediocre quality. Happy some of you are able to represent!

A few pictures I've taken while travelling to other Canadian cities. Most of these are from June, 2012:

Calgary, Alberta: I was very impressed by Calgary. It came across as wealthy and large but manageable. And I LOVED the apartment buildings with floor-to-ceiling windows. There aren't many Canadian cities with apartment options that beautiful.

Toronto, Ontario: I had much closer shots but, unfortunately, lost them. I loved Toronto as well. Lake Ontario doesn't feel like the sea at all (Oddly. I thought it would, given its size). BUT the city still has a culture of enjoying the water so I felt right at home.

Winnipeg, Manitoba: Parts of it are very attractive and some of the new buildings, like the Manitoba Hydro Building and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, are very impressive.

My favourite part was The Exchange. It was like St. John's but on a grander, taller scale:

Any idea what that greek vessel is doing in St-John's ? Its superstructure looks like an icebreaker but the hull is definetly not an icebreaker one.

It looks like a government/escort/military vessel !

St-John's has had an abandoned russian cruise ship in its harbor for about 2 years now.
It was chartered by a Montreal cruising line but the whole crew was russian/ukrainian.

^^^ Very nice picture! I like the darker tone of L tower. MLS towers look good in that shot to.
