One of my favourite angles and one of the least seen. It's actually good that they're going to demolish (or demolish the top half?) of those concrete slabs of the Royal Victoria. it's going to give the turn of the century pavilions a lot ore visibility.

the landscape architect definitely took fall colours in serious consideration. I don't think something designed is really applicable.

/\ applicable for..? Is there a national fall colours competition that I’m not aware of? Those trees look real to me and no doubt exist in real life, but people in Vancouver are not allowed to appreciate falls colours because someone in Toronto says there ‘not applicable’?

I think credit should be given to Vancouver and the landscape designers. Fall colours can be found all throughout the city, not just along False Creek and in natural environments as well, not all of BC is evergreen, and fall is gorgeous here as well, although not as spectacular as back East.

Anyways WhipperSnapper I’m just messing with you and your word choice of ‘applicable’ - all in good fun - and I apologize in advance if this comes off a-hole-ish!

Really the only parts of Canada that have a mediocre fall are the Prairies and up north. BC, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada have nice falls.

Make cell phone towers pieces of art. Another cross might be sacrilegious, so maybe like Hollywood a MONTREAL sign that doubles as cell phone towers. Or the Habs logo that also lights up at night up on Mount Royal after each victory, but cries real tears when they lose?

What are you talking about? We on the Prairies have beautiful fall colours. It is just the leaves last 3 days from the time they change colour to when they hit the ground. So while you are getting your camera out to take a picture, the leaves are all gone.
