This discussion just reminded me about the old Weston tower proposal for North York. Apart from the height it wouldn't look out of place as the design of the early 80's proposal was considered to be far ahead of its time.
I agree with you for the most part but I wouldn't write off North York as an architectural dead zone like Scarborough City Center. I think 4800 Yonge proposal pales in comparison to the Nestle Building.
On a side note it's nice to see a design change for that 32 story Church Street condo. The setbacks are better than nothing and it'll sure look pretty glitzy among the current rental stock in that 'nabe.
