Yes, I am aware of this. That's real problems. Too many homeless who living at airports. They are not allowed to be at airport property. They should removed off from the airport property. This is not shelter. They should be in different area where those Homeless people is.

I dunno what to think of those canopies. The renderings made them look like overkill to my eyes, but I guess I'll have to drive down there just to get an idea of the scale.

Drove under Terminal North earlier this evening, and I can say that these will look awesome from ground level.

The major visual improvement from ground level is going to be once the canopy is finished and they're able to tear down the low ceilings that currently cover the sidewalks outside the terminal (as seen in that rendering).

What’s the material they will be installing as the canopy attached to the piers? Was at the airport Tuesday and was hoping they were installing already, but were not. They also have a large staging area between the loop that you take to head to north parking.

As soon as the north canopy is done, demolition of the north parking deck is being scheduled. It is designed so all foot traffic from the new deck is diverted over the roadway eliminating the pedestrian cross traffic we have now. I was in a meeting earlier this week regarding the new north and south decks. The amount of concrete going into the new decks is 3 times the amount used for the new MB Stadium. The numbers are staggering on the amount of construction materials that are being planned currently for the projects at the airport over the next five years. It’s truly amazing and impressive the amount of money that just the airport pumps into the engineering and construction trades in the metro. Truly it’s own city in scale and size.

Hartsfield-Jackson may not build planned Concourse G

It appears that the proposed Concourse G may not be going ahead after all, and that a smaller and a potentially cheaper expansion of international gates at Concourse F is be considered as an alternative option.

Hartsfield-Jackson considers scaling back parking construction

Also looks like the north and south parking garages might be scaled back.

So there will be no north parking deck for people to park while the new one is being constructed?

A new ATL West parking deck will be built, if it hasn't already started. This deck, adjacent to the SkyTrain Gateway station next to the Georgia International Convention Center, would help ease the strain while the North and South decks are rebuilt.
