Both have suspect pitching tonight, so let's hope the Jays' bats stay hot I imagine this is why Schneider went to so many relievers last night, to not wear any of them out thinking they were all going to be needed again tonight. Wonder if we see Trey in relief? I assume Gausman is the man Friday night (corrected as I was was hoping it was closer to the weekend lol) if needed.

So far so good as we get through the 8th inning 5-1 for the Jays.

We better shut them out.

Was great watching the Jays win tonight. I feel like this team is better than the 2015/2016 teams, so here's hoping we can take the ALCS this time

Now we will see if the Jays are playing the Tigers or the Mariners next.

I hope it's the Tigers.

Which in Canada would basically amount to Windsor vs Toronto.

Like, I'm sure there's lots of Jays fans from elsehwere in Ontario who have ended up in Windsor, but there's definitely more Tigers fans in Windsor than Jays fans, due to simple geography.

Windsor might be the only city in Canada left not in the tank for the Blue Jays. I think it would be a really interesting series to see, especially given all the events of the past year between Canada and the United States. Detroit vs Toronto is always a great matchup in sports anyways.

Plus, in terms of skyscrapers, Detroit has one of the best ballpark views in all of baseball

Still rooting for Toronto vs Los Angeles World Series, I don't think there could be a better matchup for ratings in Canada, and global rankings than the Jays vs Shohei.

Sunday Monday Sunday Monday are games 1 2 6 and 7 scheduled in Toronto. Times to be announced but almost certain Game 1 will be 808pm and game 2 will be 408pm. If so, downtown Toronto will be hopping Thanksgiving Monday with the Leafs also playing at 4pm.

Jays and Tigers have never met in the playoffs but there was that exciting last week of the 1987 season where the Jays collapsed after getting their magic number down to 3 with 7 games to go. Very familiar to this year. Of course, the Jays went on to lose those last 7, including 4 to Detroit and lose the division. At that time London was very split and TV stations from both cities came here to talk about the rivalry. Joe Kool's bar was Tigers headquarters in town and there was no real Blue Jays bar (Auto's tried to claim that title). 2 years later, London got the Tigers AA team, where they stayed for 5 years and won an Eastern League championship. Of course 2 World Series championships swayed the city to mostly into the Blue Jays column. No doubt the Tigers fandom will come out of the woodwork should the Tigers win their divisional series. I would guess Windsor today would be the battleground city that London was 40 years ago but there still will no doubt be some of rivalry up here too.

If they play the Mariners it'll be the battle of the 1977 expansion teams.

I completely lost interest in Baseball when the evil Jeffrey Loria and his evil stepson David Sampson stole the Montreal Expos.

Did I mention that I hate Jeffrey Loria and his stepson, David Sampson?

Loria had been called "baseball's most hated man", its "worst owner", and even one of the "worst owner(s) in sports history"

Exciting times and what a journey thus far.

Not sure i'd be popping bottles yet, but it's fun to see them enjoying the moment.

The thing I really like is the fact the players really seem to like one another, and there is a great clubhouse atmosphere. They also really respect and like the manager.

This is a great team, and all of Canada should be proud of them.

Totally. You can see the vibe on the field and in the locker room. The players are a close bunch.

I have to be honest, I did not see this coming at all. I thought the Jays would be hovering around mid to last in the division, and for about the first 50 games they weren't looking great. They were at and below .500 for a while.

Upon review of their 40 man roster, only one player is Canadian. Probably their most important player actually. Vladimir Guerrero Jr, born in Montreal, while his father, Vladimir Guerrero was playing for the Expos. He is a Canadian citizen.
