Frontier feels strangely car oriented for an area that has all of the retail amenities needed and access to rapid transit. A 15-minute neighborhood without the walkability. Hope the area around the towers will improve in the coming decade.

I guess they're not planning to build the next tower anytime soon. The property is now fully covered by surface parking lots and trees have been planted.

That's too bad. I was really hoping we'd see the Gloucester Centre area transform completely within a decade, but it seems all projects have stalled at this point.

Maybe in a year or two when the interest rates go back down.

I doubt they would have planted trees if they planned to do it in a year or 2.

I think the redevelopment of Gloucester Centre and all of these towers was highly dependant on the LRT. Since the LRT has had multiple shutdowns and issues since the launch, the demand for apartment living at Blair has most likely softened.

Might not explain 100% but I would imagine it's playing some role in not seeing the 3rd Frontier tower as well as the 4th tower which was supposed to be connected to the mall & the station.

The lack of a ground level fare gate at that end of the station is infuriating... every time I am around there I see people walking through an area "they aren't supposed too" .. like ... get real... I walk through it... and I'd beak off the cop that tells me I cant.

300 Frontier Path - a new parking lot!
https://devapps.ottawa.ca/en/applications/D07-12-25-0120/details

100 Frontier Path Private currently has a 24-storey residential tower and 200 and 300 Frontier Path Private currently has a 20-storey residential tower, each developed via Site Plan Control (Phase 1 and Phase 2 of development respectively). 400 Frontier Path Private is currently a parking area which serves the existing residential uses.

The 300 Frontier Path lands are currently occupied by underground parking and some landscaping. The Site Plan Control Revision application has been submitted to permit the construction of an interim surface parking lot at 300 Frontier Path Private, in place of the planned Phase 3 development. The revision is intended to ensure sufficient parking spaces for tenants in the residential towers at 100 and 200 Frontier Path Private, adding 64 new spaces and bringing the total number of on-site parking spaces to 515.

If it's to facilitate the next phase, great.

More towers now. 2016 vs new docs. To me looks like moving the parking impedes on Phase 3, but what do I know.

Oh! So build a parking in place of your future phase 3? And then you remove that parking when you build phase three? Then what, you build it on phase 4 before you start phase 3? Seems very inefficient.

Looks like yup. Maybe charge tenants for parking at 100 a month.... so 6400 a month adds up quick?
