I found the permits for the bridge that show all the details. The arch will be about 35 feet above the road deck from what I can tell, and around 80 feet above the creek bed at the deepest part of it. That's taller than I thought. It also shows it to be 160 feet long. They're planning to light the arches using LEDs. It should look pretty sweet.

There's a ton of files to go through, but file number 194 shows the elevations of it.

That's a lot of files to look through Kevin! I tried to read a few, but found 196-199 to be quite.... boring.

Looks like the first gradient level on the tower portion is topped out. Or, at least, it will be when that whole level is finished.

Y'know this design has kinda grown on me. I originally wasn't here for it... but it kinda has that mid 80's throwback thing happening which, I'm ok with.

I wonder what the lighting situation will be

They've re-branded Green Water Block 1 as "North Shore". There is also a rendering of the back of the building on the below flyer - first time I've seen that view.

Jdawgboy that is 2nd Street. I know I got the same impression when I first saw the picture as well.

As stated, it is 2nd St. It's actually the same width as the rest of 2nd Street. It's just that it looks so skinny against the building I think.

Yeah, that kind of threw me off for a second, too, especially when I was using the bulldozer to for scale and wondering why it looked so narrow. If you look at that trailer behind the bulldozer, though, the scale appears correct. The right of ways for those streets is 80 feet. That includes the sidewalk widths which are about 20 feet I believe, so that leaves a width of 40 feet for the street. It seems narrow, but ti's still wider than my street.

2nd Street is 30 feet curb-to-curb with an 18 foot sidewalk on the south and a 32 foot sidewalk on the north.

Oh, that's right. I forgot the sidewalks were that wide on the north. I don't know why I said right-of-way. Those numbers do still add up to 80 feet, though. Almost every east/west street in downtown is 80 feet wide building to building. If you look at the old Waller map it shows the street and block widths.

It's funny to compare its progress to the construction of the new library. I guess it's public money vs private. That thing was a giant hole in the ground for more than a year.

Anyway it looks like they're rebuilding the sandbag barrier at the bridge after it was washed away by the storms.
