Agreed. These are just common condo landlords. Completely normal.

Good news for downtown Hamilton!

Centrespread in Spec Homes today should gives one yet another push - although their ad in the same section says they are 70% sold. So perhaps the twitter post was a bit pre-mature. Regardless, IMHO they should be starting construction already.

I'm guessing the surprise need to tear down most of the church probably threw their finances for a loop so they probably want to be extra cautious.

This issue is one thing.

The fact there's been practically no progress since the spring on filling the giant hole next to Mimico GO with a building should be big concern to the neighbourhood as well.

I posted this in April, but have seen little happening at the site since then:

I go by this site every day on the train and it has looked like they're still working on the foundation.

If they can't even get a project off the ground in Toronto, it doesn't bode well for one in Hamilton.

according to those posters they were 80% sold in September and 70% in November....we've got some shady developers in this town but this one is the worst.

I feel somewhat vindicated in my pessimism about this project, but I'm not entirely happy about it.

I just hope we didn't allow that beautiful old church to be torn down for no reason.

80% is over 70% sold.

This is my favourite building in Hamilton. I thought it was an excellent idea to have the entrance shaped like a church... but then I realized it was a separate structure.
