I am delightedly surprised . . I better envision it finished now . .
I didn't think I was gonna like this one that much . . but this one's gonna be great . .
KPF's 777ft. 45 E 22nd St is contributing to an already great composition . .
making a handsome cluster of towers fitting into its neighborhood perfectly . .

Napoleon LeBrun's 700 ft 1909 stone Italianate Met Life clock-tower . .
and Cetra/Ruddy's recent 600+ ft "One Madison Park" needle . .
both complement this very sleek top-heavy glass needle . .
which is mighty fine and stylish on its own merit as well . .

and lets not forget the other fine reputable neighbors . .
the venerable Flatiron Building . . and the gilded-cone-topped New York Life . .
both sturdy stone stalwarts . . hip-hip . .

45 E.22nd St. construction . .
has now definitely surpassed Cetra/Ruddy's 600+ ft "One Madison Park" . .
but has not yet topped the Met Life Clock-tower . .

I was just by there today . . the glass is beautiful . .
the angles clean & crisp . . The sharply angled cantilever is very impressive
. . when you're standing on 22nd St. right in front of it . .

The flaring out of the building's West facade . . as it rises . .
is still barely noticeable at this point . . but will get more & more obvious
the taller she gets . . She's got about another 120 ft to rise yet . .

Some "S"-words that come to mind . .
simple - slim - sleek - sharp - self-assured - satisfying - . .
This tower is all-of-a-piece . .

Crazy to think what used to be the tallest in the world, is standing at the same height as some incomplete elegant filler building. Times change, a lot.

Beware ! . . it's reported that a small-ish menacing figure . .
bolted from a manhole near a construction site at 45 E 22nd St . .
Police are puzzled after questioning 3 witnesses startled by the event . .

Evidently it happened quickly . . "He looked insane ! . .
some kind of disheveled disguise . . sunglasses . .
this wigged-out expression of psychosis." . .
the individual was last seen fleeing towards Gramercy Park . .
"He's fast . . like hell-on-wheels lurching or something" . .

the 3 agitated adults . . are not sure exactly . .
how they "know" who the culprit is . . perhaps gut-fact . .
"He wasn't what I expected . . there were like sparks & sh*t . .
but whoa . . no joke . . it was him alright . .
that Easter Bunny . . definitely intimidating !" . .

they recalled that upon seeing him . .
a mild taste of pleasant chocolate happened orally . .
"My life as I knew it . . it's ruined !" . . said the woman . .
"I feel so freaking Alive!" said the guy . .
the older man drooled dreamily . .
