There is an article in the T&T today confirming that substantial renovations are coming to the Timmies at the corner of Mountain and Lonsdale. When it's done comfy chairs, mood lighting and other amenities such as a plasma TV will be available to patrons.

I presume that this is Timmies response to the recent arrival of Second Cup and Starbucks in the northwestern part of the city.

More likely that they're responding to McDonalds. They're Tim's' biggest competitors for the affordable fast-food coffee market and they've been spending a lot of money to make their stores look more upscale.

Signage has gone up for the third tenant at Plaza 1909.

Massage Addict seems set to open in the very near future......

Went there this weekend. It was quite good. Sort of a weird format though

The renovations for the Tim Horton's at the corner of Mountain Road and Lonsdale are currently under way. The temporary trailer for drive-thru customers is on site.......

Yeah, I went by yesterday hoping to visit, but it wasn't open.

OMG Market....here's my review...

We just came back from visiting OMG Market and I must say I absolutely love it. It's well merchandised and has a great selection of fruits and veggies, along with other local products, ie. jams, honey, infused olive oils, and balsamic vinegars. The staff is very friendly and prices are comparable.

This location is going to make bbq season that much more fun. No more hassles with the traffic to get to Superstore or Sobeys last minute.

Here's some pics I took today. The last one is for my brother-in-law who apparently loves these sauces.

Thanks for the review (and the pics) porchmouse, I have a feeling that this little market will be very popular in the Moncton Northwest/Magnetic Hill neighbourhood.

Some road construction news:

- Ryan Road between Evergreen and Rural Estates will be widened and curbed this year, with sidewalks added. The last portion of the Ryan Road refurbishment will be completed in 2014.

- The second inbound lane on Berry Mills Road will be completed this year as well, and will extend to Edinburgh Drive. Why they didn't do this in the first place confounds me

Not that I have heard, but I think that this will be one of the access points for the new French school, so it makes you wonder.....

finally a new tenant for the old Golden Eagle restaurant location on Mountain Road.

A sign has been installed out front for Tak's Thai Kitchen.

They are busy clearing a new lot on DesBrisay Avenue in the Moncton Industrial Park West. I would say construction will be starting soon. I have no idea what this will be, but the lot looks too small for a relocated Day & Ross depot.

Hey MonctonRad, here's a few pics to go with your post. For anyone not in Moncton North, their address is 1590 Mountain Rd. The sign says opening April 13th.

St. Louis Bar & Grill

St. Louis Bar & Grill is opening soon at 1405 Mountain Road. It's in the Atcan Centre - the same complex as Freddie's and Enterprise Rent a Car. The location is ok. The parking lot and entrance will be a nightmare. If you're turning right on Mountain Road it should be ok but this intersection/area is already known for its daily gridlock and once Target opens it will prove even more difficult to get in and out of.

I was really hoping a place like this would open more towards the North End, ie. past Evergreen, more towards Magnetic Hill. We lack a good sports bar/wing spot. I'm not a huge wing fan but am looking forward to trying their menu.
