The most awesome aspect of that Gehry building in New York is the fact that it still looks like a render to me.

Here's a great example of contemporary architecture in NYC. The color of the glass, the level of tint and reflection that it has and the setbacks are so elegantly composed.

given the fact that the title of this thread is '...designs to inspire Vancouver" I have to say that I'm not inspired for the most part and I'm pushing to have the thread changed:

" WTF are they thinking? Designs intended to Horrify Vancouver"

this will be europes urban shopping mall at 1.9 million square feet - pretty cool looking development, mall offices, hotels etc.

this isn't really a building per say but i wish we had something like this in vancouver - this is in portland and makes me think of san francisco or new york - i like the tight street feel
