I was just saying the 42 floor condo portion of this project has been canceled for the foreseeable future, but now the condo portion is up for bid with a proposed start date of July 2010. So maybe there is hope for this part of the project after all.

Maybe this is Donald Trump's doing? Supposedly he was looking at the Charlotte market again, only rather than building from scratch he would buy an existing project of some sort.

If construction started on time in July 2010, it wouldn't open until 2012 or 2013, so maybe this is a speculative move. But if construction is contingent on pre-sales, the start date is completely unrealistic.

Maybe. I don't think they ever did presales on it to begin with. The foundation is already in place on top of the 5th floor of the new Mint Museum.

They didn't do any pre-sales. My source (a good source) said its on hold and would get built after the recession. The tower I can't find any good updates on is 210 Trade. I think its canceled, but some people have said its only on hold. I would like to see Trump buy and complete 210 Trade. It would look great on the skyline.

I love the second photo on your last photo post. I love this building!

Very nice shot. Is there any way to get any of those pictures that I have emailed you about?

Thank you for the update. It's time to demolish The Park building. It looks bad in photos and is appearing in news stories on Charlotte. I read a story a week ago on Charlotte's NASCAR Hall of Fame, describing the abandoned Park Building construction site. It is one of many news stories focusing on the Park Building.

The Park was actually up for auction last week. At least 10 bidders were there. Last I heard the negotiations were ongoing for someone to buy it. From my understanding they have the intentions to finish it.

Insiders say a deal is in the works right now for a firm to complete The Park as residential, possible rental units for the time being.

My sources say the condo tower is still a dead project at this time....The posting at Bidclerk is either old or just a repost of the old info. Tower lobby is coming right along as far as the stone work goes.

This looks like it has an incredible presence on Charlotte's skyline.
