oh the trash can looks so ugly. The current ones look better but don't work very well.

Where is the blue recycling bins?! We should just have recycling bins next to trash cans. The current ones (trashcans with 4 recycling bottle/can holders) don't work!!!

Even Hong Kong has individual bins for recycling.

Was awesome today. The new seawall is already starting to see alot of traffic.

I guess they are barging off all the excavated soil from the site?

Wow... looks more like an ad for Millennium Water

"Premium Waterfront Location"
"Your new patio"

Why do they have those long chairs anyways?

That's a great find Delirium, thanks. I can't wait to try those chairs out. I bet they'll be pretty popular though and hard to snag on a nice day.

That's right, you're gonna have to fight in a death match with a homeless person to try that chair out.

I applaud the people are who brave enough to lug around a camera and tripod to a virtually deserted area at night. The orange hue is pretty strange...I've done 30 second exposures in an almost pitch black area and got all the buildings to be that color...wonder what causes it (it can't be only due to the streetlights).

^I think it must just be from the ambient light pollution (including streetlights, among other things) reflecting off the clouds. I could be wrong (I don't have much experience with night photography) but I don't see what else it could be aside from some sort of effect on the camera or editing done after the fact. It does look pretty cool either way though.

It's called the Reciprocal Effect. Mostly affects film cameras, but also digital sensors. Look it up.

Never mind: I looked it up for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reciprocity_(photography))

It's definitely reflections off the clouds.

That, or, the sky is on fire.

Nice pics

^^ It isn't a general effect. I have been to other cities, where it is a totally different colour.

I came across some more cool pictures of the site on flickr.com and they just happened to be by the same guy that took the one Delirium posted above. Apparently he snuck over the fencing to take them...

You don't need to sneak over/around the fence, I was walking by this weekend and they had it opened on each side, not sure if someone else had done it or not, but there were dozens of people walking inside there along with me. I enjoyed the new seawall, but to be honest I was a little dissappointed, not because it isn't great, but the pictures on here made it look even better then it is.
