When I was in the alley I noticed what look like some glazing/wall mock ups in the staging area they are using (on the eventual site for 625 W. Hastings). There were some crew around so I didn't get too close.

That test cladding must be for a different project - hopefully!
The sign on the gate says Bosa 320 Granville, but the cladding looks different than that one too. 320 does have the channel at the slab, but didn't think it had fins, nor red mullions.
Any other Bosa projects you can think of? There are no operable windows - so looks like it's for an office project.

The red looks like it could be for Reliance's project on Pender. Seems a bit premature for that though.

Definitely doesn't seem like it fits any of Bosa or PCI's projects around town.

The Reliance project has prism-shaped panels, like 1 Yorkville in Toronto:

Pic by me today.

It should end up a bit taller than the office portion of Harbour Centre.

I never, until now, get into the height whining and bemoaning; but this tower should be 50-60 stories, regardless of the restrictions.

^While I agree, I've completely given up any hope for a tall (50fl+) office building to get built anywhere in Vancouver. Burnaby and Surrey will be the cities for that.

There are a couple lots between the Shangri-La and Hotel Vancouver where a 700ft tower can be built, but I have a feeling for downtown Vancouver The Stack at 36 floors (161m) is the best we are going to see for a while.

In retrospect it’s too bad the Shangri-La didn’t move forward another 5 or so years later, could have been 70 or so floors.

If it were that tall, the entire site footprint would be an elevator core.

It's great that our big building boom continued on while we were all hibernating for a few months.

That misses the point. Obviously the site would also have to be expanded, but being rhetorical that kind of detail is irrelevant.

Pics by me yesterday May 28th, 2020.

The lower floor cladding looks lighter than above, because there looks to be fritt that is blocking out the void spaces
around the curving ceiling at the entry. That causes a patchy appearance.

Pics were taken at 6:30pm, so fairly low light.

It does brighten up the area, although there is Conference Plaza kitty corner which also has sea foam green glass.

I did not take note of 333 Seymour's base.
