Anyone know if Cushman & Wakefield is still the property management company for the Cornwall Centre?

They haven’t updated their maps in forever (leasing profile and mall website), there are interactive map glitches on the Cornwall Centre website and recently the Cushman & Wakefield Canada website was redone but has no Regina properties listed other than some Imperial Oil spots. Seriously a huge MESS, and the customer service response value of the current team at Cornwall Centre (marketing & leasing contacts) are brutal.

You want to lease and promote your property yet, don’t care to actually try and sell it in the first place?

Nothing updated since February 2021.

And when you search Regina:
https://www.cushmanwakefield.com/en/...e%20descending

And not to be confused with the Cushman Wakefield Regina office website which also features the Cornwall Centre former Sears leasing profile, which also hasn’t been updated to the actual and current leasing space available.

I don't think we'll see Cornwall Centre in 10 years. Will be re developed into office space.

There's a zero percent chance this happens. The office market is hyper depressed. No one is willing to flood in 100s of thousands of square feet of below A office space where retail demand is still very real.

If anything, we will see it shift towards the model in larger centres with more focus on gyms, restaurants, and theatres.

A theatre in Cornwall Centre? What a crazy idea

The Cornwall will absolutely be around in 10 years.

I've said this before, but we're rapidly getting to a point here where fundamentally there will be two malls left in the city: Southland & Cornwall.

Southland will eventually be a contained medieval-style city with an outer wall entirely constructed from restaurants.

Although the restaurants don't seem to be able to fend for themselves in some cases.

I was really surprised Subway closed at the Southland Mall.

Would have been a good opportunity to build some 4-storey buildings with apartments/condos over the retail.

Well, this is Regina where we have little to no standards and will allow just about anything to be built without any long-term vision. Just look at the completely unoriginal name of the development. We'll be able to tell the age of developments in the future just by their name.

Rumour was that Southland was looking to put a ton of medical offices in the front corridor between Marks/Sportchek wing and Southland and possibly a gym. It sounded very much like transitioning away from a traditional retail mall.

Not much of a rumor; they advertised it.

Yet it hasn’t been successful at all and they haven’t secured the tenants they wanted. Doctors have no need to move there at this moment.

I still feel getting Planet Fitness to take that chunk of space would be better for the mall than a medical hub.
