The base and wiring were installed this weak for new traffic signals at Peachtree and 7th as well, so the 7th Street conversion is likely just weeks away as well. 8th Street between Cypress and West Peachtree is also scheduled to be closed during the month of April to resurface the road and for the developer to install the standard Midtown streetscape in front of Alta Midtown.

Below is a Midtown Alliance link that provides an update on various Midtown projects including 7th street being converted to a two-way street.

http://www.midtownatl.com/about/programs-and-projects/capital-improvements/under-construction

Here's what it says on 7th street being converted to two-way:

7th Street Two-way Conversion - The Connect Atlanta Plan calls for 7th Street to be converted to two-way traffic between West Peachtree St. and Piedmont Ave. Design plans have been permitted and construction awarded. Materials are on order and contractors will mobilize in May to complete the full conversion, including traffic signals, signage, and re-striping by June 2016.

Hi everyone the Wal Greens sign at the downtown Atlanta Woodruff Park location is on two sides of building. It looks very nice. Sorry I wasn't able to get pics, but its huge signs like the ones on the PCM building.

Also, can someone help me out with the Greystar project. I've seen differing renders. The one pictured a few posts below with the living wall and one on the Midtown website. The one on the Midtown website looks more plain. Which one is the one that will be built?

The one pictured above is the most recent. MidtownAtl.com hardly ever updates renderings once they've been posted. It's much more likely to look like what we see above, although it's important to know that it could still change again before being built.

Northside Hospital filed permits for demolition of the existing single-story buildings on the site of their proposed medical office building in Midtown (between Spring and W.Peachtree south of 13th street, immediately north of Skyhouse). They're under further review because of potential tree removal that they didn't indicate on their permits.

Oh god not that MOB!!!!! The parking deck was tragic and would be extremely unfortunate to be next to all the new residential buildings creating a deadzone.

The project's design isn't what's shown on the Midtown Alliance website anymore- they had acquired more land and re-worked the plans.

Right, it hasn't been approved (as far as I know) and will have changes based on DRC, etc. But they're moving forward with clearing the site.

Unless they knocked them down, there's one abutting west peachtree and another in the middle of the parcel.

Does the parcel go all the way to West Peachtree? The tree in the middle of the block appears to be on adjacent property unless the parcel covers most of the block and it's included. I wasn't aware that the storefronts on West Peachtree are part of the deal?

That's why all of those businesses had vacated fronting West Peachtree too.

Any public sites on which you can track leasing activity in Bucky and Midtown? I wonder how Atlantic House leasing is coming along.

These 26 projects will radically transform Memorial Drive.

March issue of Atlanta Magazine covers "(a)n eastside industrial corridor {that} is now the focus of a real estate land rush".

Any idea how the surrounding residents feel about the memorial linear park? I despise it, tbh, but I'd like to hear how those that live adjacent to the proposed park feel about it. Seems like a massive waste of land directly adjacent to downtown and walking distance to two transit stops

As someone that is moving near by, I love it. Especially capping the connector. The strip of land between MLK and Memorial is too narrow to build something like a mixed use wrapped garage, so I am not sure what developers would be able to do there that would have any sort of density in the near future (at least until we can reduce car dependency enough).
