coming back from new york last time was a nightmare. i flew laguardia to montreal, no delay, made my connection in montreal, to ottawa, where i was to have just over an hour layover before the final leg to edmonton, the layover ended up becoming 8 hours i guess, left ottawa well after midnight got to edmonton at 2 am or so, the airport was pretty much closed, there was a huge april snow storm, but alas with very options fying out of edmonton, i pondered using calgary as they have better options, either way its a 5 hour drive to the airport in edmonton lol

Doubtful. YQB doesnt have enough flights/passengers to the US to make it worth while for the US CBP.

YTZ sees more US flights and has been asking for pre clearance for years without success.

I was at the Montreal-Trudeau airport a few months ago and was very impressed with it. I really like the layout and found the airport employees to be much friendlier than in Toronto.

If anywhere is next to get US pre-clearance in Canada I would put my money on CYTZ.

The position of CBP when the new terminal opened was that any officers for YTZ would need to be reallocated from the current pool at YYZ. With the potential growth of preclearance to more countries it is possible that the austerity related restrictions might change.

Only 1.6% of flights were delayed due to construction in June at YYT. However, there were lots due to weather.

I discovered after flying out of that hellhole that it was voted America's worst airport. I can see why. We almost missed our connecting flight to Calgary at Pearson because our pilot was 15 mins late, we missed our window for take off and then had to wait 45 mins in an actual convoy of planes lining up to leave. Saw Trump's plane on the Tarmac and that sealed it for me. That thing needs to be nuked from orbit.

Thankfully someone has a plan that involves killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Dear God who would propose such an evil and thoughtless thing as that?!? Is this being pushed by residents of New Jersey who hate NYC? That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

"Handed down from our great grandparents' generation. Boldly re-imagined by our generation."

That's something Rob Ford would propose.

Thank God! Should have known it was a hoax by the impossibility of a plane weaving through skyscrapers.

This is airport-ish...

We drove up [to Edmonton] from Calgary this weekend for a wedding and stayed at the airport.
