Love the rooftop patio in the first pic! College and Dovercourt area I'm guessing?

The new condos the last one was taken from have a great view as well, and are definitely some of the only examples of new builds in Liberty that aren't an assault on the senses (though can't speak for the unit layouts).

You can get there by car too. There's a parking lot nearby and you'll reach the belvidere within a 5-10 minutes walk.

Horrible quality, but I snapped this pic off the TV from a live drone shot from CTV News Edmonton. Shows off the density and the height of the downtown Westend pretty well.

Those two new towers going up in the western end of the skyline are defiitely helping

Edmonton's built form is rather impressive, not necessarily in terms of pure architectural expression (though there are quite a number of decent/attractive buildings), but how far it stretches. The quality of the image doesn't matter too much here IMO, it's clear enough.

What's with the brick building in the foreground, with the entrance bridge? Looks like a great event space.

That's the Wellington Destructor, an abandoned incinerator. Some urbex photos of the interior: https://www.28dayslater.co.uk/threads/wellington-destructor-toronto-canada-july-2014.90941/

It's planned to become an event space as part of a new development:
