Buckhead's proposals however have seen a rise in design quality. I'm hoping the Yoo on Peachtree project has a little more flair. Not sure what to expect though, as the location appears to be at the same lot as 1138 Peachtree. Either way, grateful to see density and hope we account for more mixed use in the area. I'd also like to see more high-rise infill and dining options near Piedmont Park.

Wait, is that a new thing? Like are they saying that theyre revealing a new proposal for that lot? Or has the site just not updated for several years? Cause this could actually be big

New? Not at all. That proposal has been the same for a couple of years at least. I assume you know that Trillist is planning Yoo on Peachtree on that site.

Got back to midtown for the first time in a while. Here's a midtown update.

780 Peachtree, on the left:

Azure (left) and Yoo (center) taking their places on the Piedmont skyline:

Yoo on the Park:

Count the cranes:

NCR and Modera:

NCR:

Modera: Looks like they're going to do wood frames apartments wrapping the deck, anyone know for sure?

33 Peachtree Place:

I think we're all still curious to see what happens with this hole. Is dancing goats still going into this retail space? That was a thing right?

1010 West Peachtree and other cranes:

Post Millenium, finally getting above ground (Atlantic House in the background):

60 11th:

Really going to change the vibe on Crescent.

Azure: Nice contrast with the house.

Dancing Goats will be a tenant in the building, but that hole is an opening from the courtyard to the street.

From the render it looks like the green portion will eventually be dancing goats and the exposed concrete will be part of screened ventilation for the deck.

Great photos!

Modera looks like its ready to start rising. Does anyone know how many levels the parking deck will have?

You can kinda tell they're wrapping the parking deck with 5 stories of wood on top of podium in the renderings.

I'm doing my best do withhold judgement until Azure and Yoo are complete, but my god do both of their facades toward Peachtree look dismal at their current state. While a "giant glass box", the north and south facades of Azure are turning out to be stunning though, IMO.

Azure could turn out okay if they cover that exposed concrete. We never saw a rendering of the side facing the west (that I'm aware of), so who knows?

Willing to bet they'll coat it with skim coat of stucco and/or an elastomeric paint finish.

That's right. It'll rise to the top of the midrise apartments so it has three (maybe two) more levels to go. It's such a well planned development.

Anyone know the material that will be on the outside of Yoo? It's white on the web page's renderings, making it look (relatively) sleek http://www.wheredoyoolive.com/

I noticed there is construction fencing along Piedmont Ave. near Monroe where the park was supposed to connect. Could that be a sign that they are building out more of the expansion? Also what happened to some of the other things on this map for the already completed expansions that aren't there, like basketball courts, etc.
