Honestly it could have been a lot worse. Looks like we got about 30cm, and the snow that was expected today has been very light and off-and-on. The real kicker was the appx. 1 hour yesterday afternoon where the snow changed to rain, making the snow about as heavy as concrete.

Geez, Newfoundland public servants seem to get more snow days than the schoolchildren do.

2.5 inches of beautiful wet snow in Toronto this afternoon just below freezing. I went for a drive then realized a walk would be more enjoyable, so to High Park I went

Many people outside of old Toronto don't realize it's very hilly in areas, perhaps not as steep as Cobalt, Brantford, Midland or Sherbrooke, but overall much hillier than Montreal.

Yes, I climbed these stairs

We hit a high of 1C today, and received about 2-3 inches of snow in the city. It was very pleasant day as a result

A few cms and like the only other snowfall of note so far (4-5 cms), it started drizzling or misting right after. A bizarre winter so far.

Nice and comfortable for sled rides when it's above zero. Just not very fast.

As much as I don't like snow, it should make for some nice scenery when I go explore a different section of a creek tomorrow.

With that bit of melting after the snow, there's now ice. Had to hit it up with some Alaskan salt and as always, very satisfying to apply and hear the crackling.

Snowed for like 10 minutes here and melted within 20. High was 3 and the low was 3.7.

Very slippery in Kensington Market as neither the streets nor sidewalks had been cleared.

-5C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 1 PM.

You can see the paucity of snow around the Avenir Centre (except for that one lonely snowbank).

Wall to wall sunshine for the next week.

Toronto Pearson recorded our highest single day snowfall of the season with a whopping....6.6 cm?

No significant snow events in the forecast. Mix of above and below average for the next week, then seemingly warm the week after to finish of the month.

It truly has been the winter that never really showed up.

7 day forecast:

0/-3/1/-1/2/2/2

Still -1 at 2 pm. This would be the first day we have not gone above freezing since January 22nd.

My neighbour moved in back in June. It's his first house so he bought a snow blower in September. He has yet to use it. At this point he'd be happy to get a 30 cm dump of snow.

Great pics on this page! February is often very noticeably brighter in southern BC compared to December and January.

A really wearily warm burst of weather is forecasted for my area of Japan next week, could see our first 20 degree day of the year. That’s a good month earlier than normal.
