alright... nice... is there an age restriction on a single pass? (ex. if you're under 18 do you need a guardian?). and will this pass system be in place forever?

No, theres no age restriction and no it wont once the site is complete it will be integrated with the fabric of the city. Just as central park or millennium park.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does today's tests mark the first time that both pools have been operational at the same time? I've never seen this before.

I think so. I don't ever recall them being on at the same time either.

Actually, they may have been on at the same time once before, but it was really short, I think.

New York Times video of the memorial. Nothing new, but a good refresher.

Can I just point out that everywhere in the Northern Hemisphere the Coriolis effect is counterclockwise... Except , apparently at Ground Zero.

Lol, I think it has more to do with the water flow and the way the wind nudges it. Otherwise you might have to go debate some scientists on the way the Coriolis effect works.

And for the record, the Coriolis effect is only visible on the scale of THOUSANDS of miles.

I think it’s the best anyone could've asked for. How could you create a more powerful tribute? I admit I choke up a little bit just looking at the memorial, it's very solemn. I think it would be a little hard for me to work in the office buildings facing the site, because I would always be thinking 9/11.

The night lighting around the pools creates a whole new expirence at night, really like them!

One question- I'm not sure whether or not this has been answered already, but are they going to add trees before Sunday to the one remaining corner of the north fountain which is still missing them (the area where the tower crane was recently dismantled)? It would be highly disappointing to me if they do not.
