You know what, these are so good it deserves a post with the big boys too.

The second pick real my shows the growing urbanity in the core of Kelowna.

This is one of my favourite points of view of Québec. I love the layered buildings.

Agreed. Many years ago when my Dad dropped me off at school (closer to my mom's in NW) we drove down Bow Trail from the Coach Hill area. Always thought the skyline looked very condensed and impressive from that angle, even way back in the early 90s!

Quebec City is in a league all their own in terms of beauty. Unmatched anywhere else in Canada.

Thanks for reposting here! I also really like the first one - the sand and brick facades may be a bit dated, but I find that they add an important counterpoint to the newer, blue or darker glass facades. It also suits the summer, lakeside vibes of the City.

Taken yesterday

This certainly has become a more impressive view compared to 4 or 5 years ago...it's strange to think an 81 floor building will stand in this shot in a couple years, and also most of this "skyline" is from three developers.

Beautiful images of Montreal btw...there's such an endearing quality to the skyline.

Not great quality, but the three most prominent LED installations in our skyline are orange in honour of the children slaughtered at the Kamloops concentration camp/"school", and the many thousands more yet to be found…

As great as the intensification of MCC is, I'm most looking forward to the re-design of the roads, sidewalks, etc. when it all gets built out. An apron of amenities/retail lining the sidewalk, fewer lanes of traffic, tripling the width of sidewalks, proper separated bike lanes, heavy landscaping, attractive lamp posts, & quality paving. In its current state, it's not exactly a road you want to spend a second on.

I think it's going to turn into a nice place.
