SLC Airport on Facebook:

This installation brings an international element to our international airport. Each structure was crafted in Germany, and one is still making its way to the continent via ocean liner.

I stumbled into Facebook comments that people were discussing how this was the new world order's bunker entrance for the elites and how our new airport had a special operations purpose for the illuminati.

As of yesterday the tallest peak is installed.

SLCs comments are full of people who make every single thing about the "long walk" between concourses. It's become a bandwagon topic, they can solve the issue but they'll never get people to shut up about it. I swear 90% of Utah has never traveled through a truly inconvenient airport.

I'm nostalgic about the old airport, I really wish they had a chance to do a final open house style event. I still stand by the new design. People have forgotten how concourses b-d ran out of seating during the day and had almost nowhere to charge devices. Bathrooms were small and poorly placed. The new airport is a massive improvement and all these Facebook comment complainers just hate any disruption to the status quo.

Why go through all that trouble for a brand new NWO/Illuminati entrance when we already have a perfectly good one in the Salt Lake Temple?

(No offense meant to any LDS members, just poking a bit of fun!)

In about 30 more days left to go. The final 13 gates at entire concourse A east. Schedule to opened on October 31, 2023.

Let the countdown begin!

I agree with you Paniolo. Comparing the new airport to most other airports - SLC is so much better. There are two facts that are being ignored by the complainers. First, the new airport is huge. The old airport, being small, probably just feels like everything was closer, because of the size, not the design. Comparing the new SLC airport to other comparable large airports, it is just better. Second, the airport is still under construction. When completed, the new central tunnel will make a huge difference getting to gates in the Terminal B. For a large airport, the design is very good and will be getting better.

Nonsense, that's Denver.

It's not like I travel allot but, the new SLC is the best airport I've ever been in. Even with the long walk to the east end of B concourse, it's still not bad. Going through customs at MIA is far worse. And, it won't be an issue at all once the central tunnel is completed.

Aeromexico adding flights from SLC to Mexico City and Monterrey. There is already a flight on Aeromexico Connect to Guadalajara, but these knew ones are on 737 Max on the main Aeromexico.

Good news. Hoping to see more flights (domestic and international) added as more gates open

I’m going to be flying to MCO on the 27, so I kind of wish it was opening 4 days earlier… but at the same time, on the 7th I’m flying from MCO to LAX with a 35 minute layover in SLC… so I wish it was opening a week later so I don’t get stuck briskly walking the whole concourse.. that scares me. 😳

Detoured through the airport when I was in SLC last weekend.

The Hoberman Arch looks freaking fantastic at night! Wow!

Glad to hear that 215. I know there were a few who wondered if it hadn't been relegated to underserved obscurity. Sounds like it was a good move. I'm really digging that new Peaks artwork too.

They all need to fly through Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport before they complain.

Back when they were already doing ground work for the Node they had to modify the plans and expand the footprint because Delta wanted the club to be larger than SLCDA had planned.

Where will it be located in Concourse B?

Any idea on size?

IIRC it'll be in the "Node" plaza which is pretty much a slightly scaled down version of the main plaza in Concourse A. I don't recall an exact number, just that it's decently big.

Thanks!

I'd love to see a non-affiliated lounge like an Amex Centurion or Capitol One Lounge at some point. Maybe in a couple decades when Concourse C opens!

(Also, a Delta One Lounge...)

You won't have to wait that long, there's a third party lounge planned for phase 4.
