I'm one of the editors for the SSP database. I'm very interested in when something beyond third hand sourcing will be posted; even a rendering in order to calculate or confirm a sourced height.

The Toronto example I posted was proposed with as of right zoning. Staff still made the effort to post the information online for the public to see and formulate an opinion and I find is the better way to conduct city affairs.

You can keep the gov't (NDP, PC, Lib, whatever). Don't want to be a government town.

Horse's mouth on Stantec, 'closely guarded'.

I don't think Brookfield Place in Calgary can change their height, it's not like anyone is going to take the title from Edmonton if they announce it at 252 meters or whatever.

Of course Brookfield Place in Calgary can be increased in height. Why would Brookfield care though?

At the Real Estate Conference yesterday more than a few people were talking 250m.

First Edmonton's new arena and now tallest tower? Calgary is looking pretty lame these days! Have gone from a can-do city to bottom feeders almost overnight. I'm sure that makes more than just a few people on here very happy. Just hope I live long enough to see us rise again!

I am not sure we will have that for a while as they have some room to 'play with' and the official height is being closely guarded. With that said, it seems apparent that it will be a new tallest outside of Toronto.

That's exciting news for Edmonton. It will tower over everything else. I never thought you would build taller then Calgary.

Must have pressed a tint button on my phone...by mistake. But you get the general idea, about 60 floors up now, 16/17 more floors to go ...

Yup. It's a pretty huge set staging an airplane crash on Yonge street! Hopefully we'll get some glances of Aura, One Bloor, and FIVE in the actual film when it hits theatres. They are filming again tonight I think.
It's a skyscraper fanboys regret that One Bloor isn't complete in time alongside all the other proposed projects to make Yonge Street look even better without CGI to enhance the street.
