In other words (or in short),.... yes, they are affected.
Like they were this morning.

Perhaps not as bad as some of the buses on the roads, but definitely enough to slow the whole system down - made even worse when you have medical emergencies from people fainting in the trains because they're packed in too tight like sardines in a can, trying to get to work on time while the trains are running slower than usual and the stations are backing up with crowds.

You'd think that this city didn't face this exact same scenario already barely a couple of weeks ago and would know better, or that they don't have the Weather channel over at Translink HQ. or the Vancouver roads department.

Public transit is still the better alternative in condition such as this. What good is your vehicle if you are stucked and waiting to be tolled.Clogging up roads.

I didn't say that private transportation was any better (especially given how not-so-great Vancouver drivers are at driving in the snow...or forgetting that you need winter tires and not summer tires for the WINTER.).

It just sucks that there's really no (true) redundancy to the Skytrain system, primarily and that their de facto redundancy system (i.e. the buses) handle situations like this even worse.

At the point in time, the mall is pretty much dead retail wise aside from the senior citizens who sit around all day in the Food Court – and are complaining the most bitterly – no longer have families to feed and clothe; in short, John Doe and his pals are not that good for mall business (they are all on fixed incomes but live in million dollar homes, plus they are just CHEAP OLDER ITALIANS) Why do they take up valuable seating in the mall and sit there day? Never seen them buy even a coffee. They are loitering and should leave, this is not a community centre. This is why nothing succeeds there.

First off, this thread is for the project Amazing Brentwood, not the mall. Second of all, no one wants to hear your rant about people who hang out in malls. Please take your post somewhere else.

Whoa... i just realized that shape didn't hire Rennie to market their City of Lougheed project. Quite outstanding that they managed to sell out even without Bob Rennie's magic.
