Think of coppery winter sunsets or pink-and-gray cloudlight or bright midsummer sky light being reflected into the city centre.

Hey Klazu,

From above, it looks like there's cladding on the mechanical penthouse -
Can you please take a pic?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, missed this earlier, but here you go. Very little visible progress in the past few months.

Love the reflectivity, esp on the north end of the Howe St. side.
In this picture, the reflection of the hotel Georgia can clearly be seen.
Like one great big mirror. Images from all different angles reflected in it.

Thanks.
The mechanical penthouse cladding looks pretty plain.

Yeah I'm liking the smooth glass too. I might be in the minority but I'm not a big fan of the fins.

I've heard there's actually been a lot of delays on this project. Still seems like a fairly healthy one-year timeline until the Nordstrom opening at least.

In a way, it's odd seeing "sky" (in the reflection) so low down.

huge improvement over the blind walls of yesteryear. Man that was a fucking horrible building back in the day (when I lived in Vancouver, it was still "Eaton's", then "eaton" with a small 'e'.

Love that reflectivity!! It adds an open, airy feeling to central downtown, yet also
amplifies the presence of the surrounding buildings. That reflectivity is what makes this building "work," any other drawbacks aside.

I think someone mentioned this earlier. I was walking down the east side of Granville around noon a few days ago. You can definitely feel the heat reflecting off the glass on the sidewalk.

Also, signs say Nordstrom opening September 18, 2015 - so 53 weeks from today.

Sure looks like a movie screen - put a wrap on it in summer and voila!

They sure are taking a long time installing the stone façade...
