Seventh Midtown is almost done. The sidewalk on 7th street is open again.

Also all these mixed use going to Buckhead, but they rejected streetcar and bike lanes. There is gonna be traffic nightmare in Buckhead if all this stuff gets built.

Also this is the other proposal next door to the Disco Kroger redevelopment:

The MARTA expansion plans call for turning the 110 bus route into ART service (10 minute headways, enhanced/limited stops, extended articulated buses), unfortunately it is still going to sit in the same traffic as the rest of us, so not sure how much help that will be. Maybe we can get a heavy rail station in Buckhead Village by 2050...

Hooray about 7th Midtown! I haven't been down Peachtree in too long.

Traffic is certainly a concern, but I'm not sold on it. Chances are with more people living closer to work, more will chose alternative modes of transportation to work, including walking. Atlanta is reaching the tipping point where nodes are becoming walkable with sufficient resources and people will choose to not use their cars as frequently because it is no longer a necessity.

Speaking of Buckhead Place Market, has anything happened with that? I haven't heard about it since it was announced.

Didn't realize so many people wanted an apartment in Buckhead...are occupancy rates doing well there? Just seems like there's been a gargantuan amount of proposals in the last 6 months there, especially compared to any other neighborhood in the city. The next Buckhead development wave is going to be unprecedented. It's very well on it's way to feeling like an actual urban, walkable neighborhood.

Just not sure if the infrastructure can handle it however....just doesn't have the grid that the older 36 square mile core of Atlanta does.

Not sure about new developments like Cyan, but places like Elle, the Gramercy, and Allure had 90+% occupancy last year. The demand is definitely there for apartments, to what extent they can get renters at exorbitant rents is to be seen though.

Yes. It's shown in one of the renderings.

Demolition was approved yesterday for the 2 story building at Peachtree and 3rd, to make way for the new 24 story apartment tower:

The impact fees were just paid for the proposed 30Ksqft office building at 359 East Paces Ferry. Looks like this one is moving forward. It might already be under construction.

@shivtim, I'd hate to see Ecco go, too, but I imagine there will be a time when all one story lots in Midtown are redeveloped, similar to what's happening with surface parking. Hopefully when that time comes Ecco remains at its current location and have its design incorporated in a new building. A rooftop patio would be nice, too

I'm a little confused about which 10th street frontage you are referring to. The Alta site is bordered by 8th and Peachtree Pl (9th st), and the 11/12th street apartments do not have a 10th street frontage either. I also haven't noticed construction trailers anywhere on 10th, with the exception of Azure on the Park.

This is unfortunate. All of that space for construction equipment and they wipe out trees providing shade for pedestrians along the street as well as help calm the speed of traffic.

All of the trees on the east end of the lot have since been cut down. Those were some huge trees, so I hope they make up for the loss of greenery with more than a few saplings. Looking forward to the development though.
