A cruise around Midtown the other day:

I was surprised to see this development. I guess Peachtree and 5th. I had forgotten about 782 Peachtree.

Here's finished University House with Modera building on the left and NCR just beginning.

Here's the newchristened Alta Midtown building progress

I'm definitely digging the storefront level of Alta Midtown.

The Alta Midtown side facing MARTA Midtown Station.

Here's the Hanover development: 6 stories? i think. but I didn't realize it was the whole block and so wide!

Anyone know what this development past the MARTA station at 11th and Peachtree Walk NE is?

11th and Peachtree Walk is a pretty large lot and I have no idea what it is.

The twin of 77 12th is finishing up on Crescent

Here are the twins: 12th and 11th down Crescent street.

Good developments going up: I'm excited for the density and fuller streets these projects will become.

As always, thank you for the permitting/zoning request updates! Development along Cheshire Bridge is really going to transform that part of town within a few years and will create a new urban node. I'm curious to see if/when development creeps south towards Ansley Mall.

Consolidation at the cell tower is interesting. Would love to see development occur on that block and the block due south.

Anyone know if Alta Midtown is a two phase project, ie. did they construct with intention to build a second tower in the future on the development?

Not that I'm aware of, I think only the mid-rise they are currently building on the remainder of the lot was planned.

Thanks. That block is begging for something big (being on West Peachtree), but I wonder if there are too many owners for it to ever be consolidated. I'd think the tower won't be going anywhere for awhile anyway, considering how expensive that would be.

It is two phases, but the second is mid-rise apartments (which are just getting started), not a tower.

The block bounded by West Peachtree, Cypress, 7th, and 8th is currently 11 separate parcels with 9 different owners. So it would take some work. But there's no need to develop the whole block at once, there's space for a couple of developments. Some of the existing buildings might have some historic merit as well (the apartments facing 7th) and it would be a shame to lose Ecco. As you said, I think the W.Peachtree frontage is what really needs to be developed. A "cash for gold" with a surface lot isn't cutting it anymore on this street in this part of Midtown.

Ah, forgot about the mid-rise apartments. Was really hoping for a potential second tower to be built on top similar to 11/12th Street developments.

@shivtim, I'd hate to see Ecco go, too, but I imagine there will be a time when all one story lots in Midtown are redeveloped, similar to what's happening with surface parking. Hopefully when that time comes Ecco remains at its current location and have its design incorporated in a new building. A rooftop patio would be nice, too

750 Glenwood Ave, mixed-use planned development. Currently the Atlanta Stockade, close to the Beltline and adjacent to the Fuqua development.
750 KALB ST SE, rezone to Mixed-use planned development / Beltline overlay. This is adjacent to the site above. Is something big planned here? Both filed by Urban Realty Partners.
There are some initial plans for the consolidated site that are being circulated out to local neighbors for input. Looks like they are planning to turn the old stockade into loft offices and some of the other old buildings into commercial first floor + residential lofts above. Plus some new buildings with commercial / apartments / condos / townhomes on the site.

A separate entity owns the frontage along 10th street with hopes of building another tower but it wouldn't be as tall. The construction trailers are sitting on that lot in the interim.

Buckhead - 3330 Peachtree Road

Today

Soon
CRIF LENDING SOLUTIONS
ATLANTA, GEORGIA

This office/residential tower is a built-to-suit project located in Buckhead which is the prime business district in Atlanta. The 350,000 SF building includes 9 office levels, 2 residential levels and 8 parking levels. The tight site is located at Peachtree Road and Tower Place Drive in the SPI-12 overlay district that defines land coverage and height limitations. The design takes an energy conscious approach to address client corporate image, while satisfying building codes and site constraints. Wakefield Beasley provided schematic design services, site assessment and due diligence.

Wow, took me way too long to realize what was changing was a new building behind TD Ameritrade and nothing was happening to the brokerage. I'm a fan of the CRIF building, but my god do the Peachtree Crossings renderings look astounding. I presume this is the same development proposed a few months back with the hotel?

If I'm not mistaken those were for the LA Fitness parking lots. It looks like this would replace the Disco Kroger and associated sea of parking, which is to say they would be neighbors.

No, that is another development proposed by Coro Realty Partners. I agree looks like something you would find in LA or Miami.

Wow! If both developments go, Buckhead is going to have pockets (this area eastward to Buckhead Station, around Paces Ferry/Pharr Road, and East Andrews once development occurs at EAV, Henri's, 5P, and those buildings along W. Paces Ferry) close to if not more dense with more shops and restaurants than Midtown. If only both neighborhoods abutted one another! If Buckhead had more supporting neighborhoods like the neighborhoods around Midtown, I'd almost be convince I could move back that way in a few years

If not, somebody spent a lot of money for those architectural renderings and building a website. Info on the developer/investor below:
