It is a lot of fun to drive when traffic is moving. I work evening shifts at work where I get off at midnight at Yonge Street north of the 401. The drive back to Durham Region is fantastic that time of night.

The drive home at midnight was still busy, but was moving. Too bad it was raining a bit so the footage wasn't very good.


I would pull my hair out if I had to experience the 401 every day, especially at rush hour.

If some of you like Quebec roads, well you gonna love this !

A very cool ride on A15 starting in the Laurentians and ending in Montreal.

You can clearly see the awesome update they did on A15 around the 4:00 mark by widening & rebuilding the whole expressway in both direction with concrete.

And seriously, I think That Expressway is probably the one I drived the most in my life before I moved to Quebec city !

I know it's a big project, but, I'd love to eventually see a timelapse of Highway 401 from Toronto to London. Or even Windsor.

The 401 is a beast. Driving it at night across Toronto is truly awe inspiring IMO. Toronto looks particular massive when all you can see is lights and high rises for miles and miles and realize you aren't really anywhere close to the downtown.

I could do it, but I would need a 64GB SD card to capture all that footage in HD (prossibly 128GB).

Also my camera only records 7 mins at a time (stops when it uses 2GB of data) so there would be a lot of starts and stops in it.

I'm looking into getting something like a GoPro. Those things are great for shaky footage (roads can be a bit bumpy) and do 1080p.

I'd like to do a dusk video of the 401 driving east from Mississauga to Pickering. The problem I have is, while my camera films with a great amount of detail, my setup is shaky, and my camera kicks off after twelve minutes. I have been debating buying a new camera for occasional filming as well, but it seems costly, and I can't decide which camera is right for what I am looking for.

A little taste of the beginning of the TCH in St. John's. Technically, it starts downtown (for photographic/tourist reasons) but, in reality, it really begins around Logy Bay Road at the extreme northern edge of St. John's.

I still hate our stupid speed limit of 100 km/h ... it should be variable according to the topography or the weather

To me it should be :

80(trucks)-90(cars) : Urban expressways

100(Trucks)-110(cars) : Rural expressways around a urban area

120(trucks)-130(cars) : Rural expressways
