The sign looks good.
I would have expected a logo above the word "Hotel", like the design above the wording in this logo from the hotel website:

the sign was designed by the architect who handled the restoration, and the heritage approvals and developers didn't want the sign to be "branded" by having the Rosewood logo, they wanted it to be more permanent and part of the building (ie, to stay even if hotel operator changed hands).

That was a great decision by all concerned. Far too many times in this city, our heritage has not been properly looked out for. In this case, they got it right and showed what is possible when all stakeholders work together.

Any idea if the sign is being turned on at night yet? I'd like to get some shots of it...

Pic by me today - cladding going up on the fins - looks like it'll match the render - dark and light glass in steps:

Awesome! Looks much better than the rendering. I like the darkness of the glass. If they switched all the light spandrel for charcoal or black spandrel, and replaced the light precast with black granite this building would be perfect. Ah well.

Are they not photovoltaic panels? That's what was in the original design.

What does that mean exactly? Is that the 'falling raindrop' effect you're referring to or something else?
