Looks really good! I'll be impressed if it's still in one piece, or at least not spray painted, by tomorrow. Means maybe we're growing up (unlikely)!

Someone should mow the green roof~ lol

They've been working all week on the roof of the west "restaurant" building, for whatever reason the green roof never really grew in. Not sure what they are doing to repair it but they've been busy at it.

It looks amazing, I can't wait for tmrw!

BTW, in the renderings wasn't there also a map of the torch relay in Canada in the pool? Maybe it's just the pics, but the water looks a little murky.

Thanks for the update.
Those workers were working really hard for the past few weeks. I wonder how much it cost PAVCO.

And what happened to the torch relay route map that is supposed to be in the pool center? Instead a fountain is built. Either the map is not ready or there was a change of plan.

I am shocked to see that the inside of the pool lacks any light, colour or lustre. Plain grey cement is not an acceptable surface for a prominent civic fountain or pool.

^ Sadly, I have a feeling that it's incomplete - they only had 4 months - they were obviously rushing completion over the last few days, likely didn't have enough time.

They only had four months? They could've added a whole new wing to the convention centre in that time.

I agree. They should've just kept it covered and fenced off for July 1st; it's unacceptable for public display.

Most condos in the city have nicer looking water features. I'd rather have more plaza in this case. Who designed this POS? It makes the city look dirt cheap, like some up and coming Chinese city.

its not about the fountain... its about the cauldron. the pool is simple, the recession on the one side will provide great access for tourist photos. which is smart.

Of course the cauldron is burning in "low" mode, otherwise people will get "fried" standing next to it.
I could still feel the heat from the flame though.
