It's mixed-use, so I think apartments, office and/or hotel? Also, I edited my post to the correct height of 270' and added a link to the records request docs.

Thanks for posting! The site plans lists condo (200), hotel (200 key), office, and restaurant.

I didn't realize this was an adaptive reuse project, so it will preserve the facade of the existing warehouse building? Interested to see how that will work since it shows they are doing below grade parking as well.

They'll prop up the bricks with support beams while it's all going on so the thing doesn't collapse. This hasn't been done much in Phoenix but you'll see this in LA and SF a lot. The burned out church on Monroe that was slowly renovated into a venue had similar support beams.

Can someone confirm for me if the Aspire crane is up? I was walking to the Frys and back last night and thought I noticed a new crane behind the Westward Ho, but I couldn't tell.

There is a dedicated thread in Southwest for Aspire. I posted about the crane going up around 3 weeks ago.

No worries. I'm not sure why there is not a Phoenix P&C sub-forum for what is the fastest growing city in the nation instead of lumping all of our projects into the Southwest forum making it harder to find them. There are more than enough projects to support placing Phoenix into a separate P&C sub-forum.

Nobody maintains the forum-wide threads. Phoenix is rather unique that way on SSP.

Outside of a couple projects - not much is going on in Vegas. (And probably won’t for some time after all the dust settle with current events). But I think it has to do with maybe not many people from Vegas being involved with the forum. I had a friend that used to live up there before the crash that did structural for a lot of the high rise construction back then - but he’s since left for Albuquerque. I know other people up in Vegas - but none of them care about any of the projects and wouldn’t participate in the forum here.

There is another forum called skyscraper city that seems to have a larger presence for places like ABQ and Vegas than here

But there is no Phoenix representation on that site at all.

Also Vegas is half of the size of Phoenix and ABQ is 1/3 or 1/4 the size Tucson 1/5

Any long term economic issues (Tucson/ABQ) aside, the population differences would mean less activity no matter what.

I'm on there, but I haven't posted in years because there is too much city bashing and city vs. city discussions which really irks the hell out of me. I will lurk there every once in a while, but I won't post.

I've been kinda surprised we haven't had more an influx of new users throughout this boom in Tempe/Downtown.

Guess we are just weirdos.

They started tearing down the covered parking on Adams and 2nd ave. Where they are going to build that Hyatt Place hotel.
