Just going by Environment Canada, Pearson has us nearing 15C right now....I'm going out on a leg and saying where I am, it's over 15C, and about the same downtown. I assume it's a titch cooler by the lake, but only a small smidge.

I just switched to a shirt inside, and will probably switch to a thin dress-shirt when I go out for errands later. This weather is totally uncanny for this time of the year.

Mild day. Clouds seem to be fast moving so there's been moments of brilliant sunshine followed by cloud cover, and everything in-between. These are from Presqu'ile PP.

It's pretty wild. We do get Spring-like days occasionally in February, albeit usually near the end of the month. What's really crazy is that EC is saying it will be around 11 still at midnight.

I've seen a few bugs flying around outside. They are in for a rude awakening in a few days.

I said I'd put away the bike and trailer in November by hanging one and disassembling the other. But got lazy and said I'll do it whenever we're expected to get a proper snowfall. The only accumulated snow we've gotten so far is a 1cm and 4-5 cm dumping.

I even bought different types of hooks from HD to try out different setups for installing at the top of the shed for this bike as the other hooks already have a bike.

15 degrees today. Had to go pick up the kid today at the school. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the bike.

57F/14C and a mix of sun and clouds. Today I wandered around St Lawrence Market and the weird and ugly condo construction hotspot around Queen, Church, Jarvis.

Not going to lie, that billboard actually did just make me hungry for Reese’s Pieces. Sadly, they are not sold in Japan…

Last night around 8 pm we had a brief bout of thunder and lightning with a bit of hail and torrential rain here in Aylmer. It was around 7 degrees.

+2C and sunny in Moncton at 10 AM. It may get as warm as +8C this afternoon.

Long range is now calling for only scattered flurries in Moncton on Tuesday. It appears the Texas low may be veering south. Still no major blizzards in Moncton so far this year.

Just in case, I had my fouled snowblower picked up by the dealership, and, happily there was no major damage from my little adverse event. The piece of flashing I ran over was removed from the auger/impeller assembly, and it is home safe and sound. Only $75 bucks for the repair. Good value.

I've been to that same spot before. Have fished the Rouge a few times in the area for suckers, steelhead and smallmouth bass. Why is the water murky when we've had a serious lack of precip? I've been a couple times the third Saturday in April for steelhead opener and the rest was the summer. Was always clear. Of course, I wouldn't go after a proper rain because then the water would be murky and you can't see the fish or see where you're stepping while wading.

Today I parked at Sheridan College in Oakville and walked around the trails. The creek there is endlessly winding. There might be a dozen foot bridges there in such a small area. Anyway, I turned over a lot of rocks looking for crayfish, but didn't find any. Bunch of minnows swimming around though. I used to find crayfish everywhere as a kid. I have no idea where they all went.

And on Thursday, went down to Trafalgar Rec Centre to go skating. I fully expected that we'd be going inside. To my surprise, the ODR was open. No idea how they keep it frozen but they must have been working overtime the next day when it was 15 and sunny. The community ODR two streets over has the boards set up but no way it's going to open this winter. This happened a few years ago too. I think it's run by volunteers. Full respect to them but they might not want to bother again after this. And I saw a house with the boards set up in the front yard a few weeks ago. Yeah, turns out that was a waste of time, unfortunately.

Another beautiful day, sunny and 9.4 degrees, the low was 5.0 and yesterday's high was 13.1. This has been a great stretch of mild, sunny weather. A lot of times these 10 degree days in the middle of winter are super windy or come along with a storm. We've had nothing but pleasant weather for more than a week now.

The week ahead looks like more sunshine, but with temps closer to normal.

Special weather statement for Nova Scotia for a potential nor'easter. Keeping an eye on this one as the path is uncertain and where it ends up will have an impact on Eastern Newfoundland.

Closer to NS = likely snow-to-rain transition for St. John's
Further offshore NS = like an all-snow event for St. John's

Town Guy, I almost went to Rouge Park, but 401 east looked crappy so I kept going north.

Around 35F/2C in Midland tonight. I went on a long drive starting in Nobleton, up a bunch of rural gravel and paved roads, exploring (rather liked Lloydtown), Schomberg, Alliston:

Baxter/Angus/New Lowell area is depressing, sprawling like crazy and reminds me of the Greater Sudbury area, eg Val Therese or Chelmsford.

Stayner is better, a typical Ontario farm town that's also attracting 905 sprawlers
https://imgur.com/a/W8sWY1p

Refreshingly, Wasaga Beach & Tiny Beaches totally empty
https://imgur.com/a/hmZiVoI

I like Midland and thought I'd explore it at night. Unfortunately, it's overcast so no stargazing as planned. A bit of rain and snow flurries in Tiny Township.

8C and a mix of sun and clouds. Spectacular!

Low of 4C this morning.

The warmspot were Grenadier Island and Kingston, ON at 12.5C.

The warmest low were Cumshewa Island and Sartine Island, BC at 6.6C

Downtown Montreal had a low of 4.4C which was the highest non BC low ahead of all Ontario stations.

Well, I had to dust off my umbrella today. It was dry until about mid-afternoon and then some intermittent drizzle and light rain started.

Saturday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 8 C, the low was 5 C.
