I don't wish anything bad to happen to anyone else's livelihood. I assume you are joking but if not then it's bad taste.

We need update pics showing (if possible) all cranes in one shot. Construction progress pics are always a hit around here.

There's several views walking around where you can get like 3-4 cranes lined up between the buildings. Photographers ought to be having a great time with this!

I was just combing through the building permits for Derby and I see a 5000lb grease interceptor so perhaps another bar/restaurant or two coming to the already budding nightlife district.

THE GAP (filled in ) BETWEEN ROOSEVELT AND THOMAS WOULD BE SWEETER

The gap between Roosevelt AND THOMAS would BE SWEETER (being tied in the the gap closer to DTWN. that is.)
Meanwhile, the gap STARTING from THE LINK to THE VIAD TOWER is Just at
1 and 3/4 miles. So filling THAT GAP would make for a MASSIVE DTWN stretch.
Making it bigger than Dtwn Denver.

The records request I received show 2 retail spots. One spot was reserved for restaurant, not sure what the other pad was for, but another bar/restaurant would be great in this location.

Won't be long at the rate these towers are being built/proposed. In addition to Derby, Aspire, ASU and Link 2...the McKinley tower, Garfield House, the proposed 19-story Ro2 office tower and hopefully still Meow-Wolf would fill it very well.

The gap between The Link and The Viad Tower isn’t even a mile. The Stewart is between the gap to help as well.

Updates with Recent RFPs

I was bored at work so started doing some sleuthing for some recent RFPs that have since closed and see who won the RFP.

Hyatt Regency Garage RFP
- Berger Holdings, LLC
- Hines Interests Limited Partnership

https://solicitations.phoenix.gov/So...achmentId=3579

Kind of interested to see both proposals (Ronnie - can you work your magic?). This is the same company that won the RFP for the hotel/office on Central/Adams. Wasn't too impressed w/ the latest renderings that Ronnie provided. At this point, maybe perhaps Hines proposal may have been better based on what we've seen from the Adeline.

The RFP for 1 South 24th Street appeared to be cancelled. Not sure whether for lack of interest/proposals or the city simply cancelled.

Some of the crane photos posted from the Arizona Republic today (not the best, but it's something):

Some news regarding the Deck Park Vista senior living apartment complex on 3rd St and Moreland. It looks like the city will be opening up an RFP later this month.

To this day I still don't understand why you intermittently yell in your posts?

I feel like you're fighting off unconsciousness and I need to give you a shot of Narcan every time you post

Your wish is my command. I made a Twitter account just for this stuff. They're not the greatest photographs, but hey, they're there. Snapped some pics of the Link Phase2 site yesterday evening while out on a walk.

And don't forget the Camelback visibility cam. This view is going to be amazing when all 3 towers are up (Aspire, ASU, Link 2): https://www.phoenixvis.net/highres.aspx?site=came1

I'm very curious on everyones opinion on this. I'm not sure if it's been talked about before. I dont want to turn this forum into an ethics chat either BUT! A part of me says tear the mother f*cker down and build that highrise, especially if it's that close to the freeway and affordable housing?! That would be amazing. But then there's the old people, where would they go?

I agree but it's not our issue, not the issue of the City either. The City offered them places in other properties and also is allowing them to re-locate once the new tower is completed. Very generous of them. It's not our problem that the nuclear family has dissolved- I know every situation is different. There are non-profits that I am sure the City could refer them to to help with moving issues.
