Infantino wants to reconsider the format for WC2026.

He loved the 4-team group format in Qatar. Will be interesting to see how this develops.

12 groups of 4 teams; top 2 advance and 8 best 3rd place teams advance into Round of 32 for 2026 and then so on and so forth

I agree. 16 groups of 3 was none-sense.

It should have been 12 groups of 4 since the initial planning stages. It works. And makes the groups interesting.
