Thanks for the pics!

The black on the shorter Hub condo tower looks great - really unifies it.
The office tower does calm the visual calamity of the Coast Capital building.
The dark spine on the Phase C tower looks great.

Surrey's transformation has been pretty remarkable. It's like watching a new city sprout up right before your eyes.

^And it's just begun - the amount of approved projects in the pipeline over the next 5 years will dwarf the current wave (assuming there is a market).

Some more from this week:

Nice.

It's amazing to think how superior this new office building is to the pathetic little building being built (in accordance with City of Vancouver policy) on the southwest corner of West Broadway & Cambie (i.e., in the heart of the Broadway Corridor office district and at the future site of one of the most vital interchanges between two multi-billion dollar subway lines), as well as that pathetic little building recently completed (in accordance with City of Vancouver policy) on the southeast corner of West Broadway & Oak (i.e., also in the heart of the Broadway Corridor office district and also at the site of a future subway station along the multi-billion dollar extension of the Millennium Line).

Or Commercial and Broadway.

Metro Vancouver's future is in its suburbs.

It looks like they still haven’t started on the restaurant portion.

Maybe the restaurant is a 'build to suit' scenario (which might mean there's no tenant yet). Or maybe they need the area for construction staging and it'll be easy to build later.

They'll need to realign the road to the south first before starting construction on the restaurant.

It sounds like it is built to suit and there's no tenant yet as per form.ca . Hopefully that changes soon though...

They've started putting the black cladding on the taller building now as well.

Curbing on KGB is being laid right now. Should give an idea of how the intersection and roadway will look.

Are you referring to just the Fraser hwy/KGB intersection or also the new intersection of of 98a Ave/KGB? They had to realign the latter as the restaurant is to be located where 98a was previously.

They've started putting where the curb on the street will be on Fraser Hwy and on KGB. It's moving inwards (narrower lanes perhaps to allow for a dedicated bike lane?)

Didn't get a photo, but it seems like they stopped the new curb where the office building is, and left the old curb past that

Nothing like a huge mess of antennas. The building keeps getting uglier.

Walked around the area yesterday. The new buildings look a lot better Quality than what has previously been built.
